I have a feeling that Lobo doesn't count, as him being a bounty hunter.

Ah well.

SQUIRREL GIRL

And this.

I'd say Poet Anderson, but his comic books won't be released until either on Halloween or next year. xD

Dunno if you can count him as a superhero, but he doesn't get enough recognition IMO.

@Samius: if movies based on comic book properties worked the way comic book publishers (and fans)wished they did, i.e. brought new people into brick-and-mortars to buy books, Dredd would be far more in the spotlight at this point than a lot of characters who will probably never get the movie treatment. But yeah, certain runs of his comic have been absolutely phenomenal; and sadly, outside of Europe, very few have actually read them...

Exactly. I mean sure, Dredd has received a large amount of attention if you look a few decades back. There are two films, multiple videogames, card games, a tabletop miniature wargame (which I really like), etc. The comic books themselves are amazing, and they're really more than just post-apocalyptic science fiction. They've got heart, if you get what I mean. The stories reflect some really important values and the setting is just crazy, in an interesting way.

Still, were it not for the movies, I don't think many of the younger people would even know he existed.
