Same. Don't get me wrong, I love her. I was, however, told she would be only available by preorder until after the new year. I read the link, I don't buy it. My TRU has a WALL of Gearshifts. Whatever. I didn't lose anything for putting 5 bucks down on her.

How does that explain target stores having them? My target has gearshift out on the racks but never took pre-orders for her in stores (target gearshift pre-orders was online only).

It really annoys me as she's yet to be released in Australia but people are scalping online for ridiculous prices on ebay. I want her but I won't pay $30 over the recommended retail price.

Try gumtree. They're 15-20$

I just saw her at GameStop today, but I haven't seen her in TRU or Target. And I saw the printout saying that she was only supposed to be available for pre order and then not till 2015. I still haven't picked her up yet, but I plan to. I should probably do it soon because who knows what the real story is?!

I got a second Gearshift as a Late late late late B-day Gift from a friend so i might sell that one on Amazon for 15$

Maybe it's leftover Gearshifts from pre-orders?

This to me make sense, however knowing TRU they ordered a few extra boxes of her just to have for those that didn't preorder her, came in and wanted her. Target not taking gearshift orders may have just ordered like 3-5 boxes of her per a store etc, for their wave 1 stock. More then likely once those clear out she will be gone till wave 3 or later. So if you preordered her and picked her up you got her, if not get her now or wait till later.

Saying something is only available for preorder, then ordering a bunch to have on hand for launch, is exactly what we're talking about. I don't know any simpler analogy, this one is pretty straight forward.

Something else to keep in mind: Activision tends to re-release figures in the waves. For example, with Swap Force, they released a couple of the more popular Wave 1 figures in Wave 3, and re-released a couple of the Wave 2 figures in Wave 4. That allows players who missed a character in a wave to find the figure they want in a later wave a month or two later.

From what Activision is saying, they aren't doing that with Gearshift. Gearshift is not part of Wave 1. She was shipped as a special order in boxes of 12, and once that stock is gone, she is probably gone until Wave 5. Because various stores stock figures separately, it is possible that one store might sell all of their supply before another, so some stores may have Gearshift longer than others.

However, I think the key to remember is to get Gearshift now, or you will run the risk of having to wait a long time to find her again.

Oh yeah turns out she's a normal wave 1 figure, I as ticked to se her on the shelves of every store I went to after paying extra for shipping on amazon for pre order, happen to any of us but yep, later on she became just normal wave 1 character at last sec for some reason

This is funny because she is the only evidence at my local Walmart that there has even been a new game released! I too had preordered because we were all told that was the only way to get her until the new year!
