alright gang.

im able to grow a pretty legit short (I trim my beard whenever i decide to grow it out) beard. a lot of people say it makes me look older and that im just one of those guys who actually happen to look good with facial hair.

Do you think it would be a good idea to go into a job interview with a short trimmed beard? or just stay clean and shaven until I start work?

Depends. If people say you look neat and well-kept when you have a beard, then sure, go for it. But sometimes beards look kind of scruffy on guys if they are not grown properly. (*cough*I just happen to be one of those girls who loves a cleanly-shaven man*cough*)
If you think you look cleaner when you are shaved, though, then that's the first thing to go with. Appearance is one of the most important (if not the most) features when going to an interview.

Depends on the job, really. If it deals with food, I'd keep it shaved. Other than that, I suppose if it's not too professional of a workplace, I guess it'd be okay.

Regardless of the workplace, you'll want to look clean, energetic and confident to make a good first impression. So shave, be positive, and keep a good posture.

Alright, no beard. What about stubble? Obviously would keep the neckline clean.

Stubble, while better than a full on beard, can still give a bad impression. Clean shave or don't bother.

I've always shaved before these sorts of things. It helps set a better first impression. <.<;

Lol the girls say they like a nice, clean-shaven man; but who do they really want to go out with? Brad Pitt; dude hasn't not had a goatee since he was 20. The guys say, "yeah, look neat and young, you'll get the job." But who do they respect as a wing-man at the bar just off campus? Colin Farrel, who is clean-shaven never, probably. Go with the beard and get the frickin' job already.

Women don't like Brad Pitt because of his beard, they like him because he is famous, rich and generally good looking.

Being a wing man doesn't make you employed.

Beards are often seen as messy and untidy in jobs. Which isn't a good quality to reflect upon yourself when applying for one.
