Basically Chomp Chest can find buried treasure with his second ability. There are 3 treasure locations in the beginning of Soda Springs all wothin 10 secs of eachother. Each one is worth 1000 coins so you can just do that, restart the level then do it over and over again. Probably the fastest way to get money we know of.

Awesome. Tried it. Waaaaaay faster. In less than 10 minutes, I've gotten enough gold for 4 of my landers to fully level up.

It takes me 3 minutes to get a character 9000 gold, which is how much it takes to level up characters that aren't S2/3/4, and with having 20 winged sapphires.

That 3 minutes includes how fast I run to each of the 3 locations, with no Winged Boots (but I do mash attack 1 to do his chomp dash), and that also factors in loading times for resetting the level (on PS4).

That's a really nice idea to earn a lot of money. However, I choose to play the very last of Kaos' Doom Challenge while letting enemies destroy the Mystery Box of Doom. It's much faster to earn money and level up at the same time.

The cool thing is that there's "no wrong way" on doing this. I had 2 or 3 "tricks" in Giants; I suspect this will be no different. Do what floats your boat I guess.

Well, I know which villain I'm using when I'm totally desperate for cash.

its a good starter for new figures .

grab all upgrades whilst still level 1, figure out if you actually like that path before either reseting the figure(which is okay, as you don't have a lot of time invested thats now wasted if the path you chose isn't as good as you thought it was) or starting the exp grind elsewhere(Doom mode).

tricks like these really help me get the most out of my figures, as i can try out the "bad" path as well in a relatively short time invested, so it doesn't hurt so bad to reset a figure.

Does this work in the academy? Another question, is this different from the hidden chest (Pirate Seas)?

Its different from the hidden chest.
There might be hidden locations in the acedemy but the easiest and fastest ones to find are in Soda Springs

'm torn. On SF, I was DOWN for the diamond trick. Oh I did it every time I got a new figure, but in this game, money comes so easy, and health is so important, that I'm not sure I'd 'farm' that. Maybe do it once on a new character to get them 'started', but I don't see it as necessary here.

Another good way to make money (albeit probably not *as* fast) is to go to the level where you fight Chomp Chest. He drops gold during the fight with him, and a bunch more afterwards. If you can stay alive, his drops are around the 50-150 gold range and he drops about 3 or 4 per charge. I make about 2000-3000 per run on this. The only challenge is dodging his attacks, which can hurt on hard or above.

I bought an Earth Trap just because of this.

How? You make 3000 coins in 40 seconds. ITS EXTREMELY FAST

So max out a skylander gold in 15 min. It took this time in giants with the money on top of the ship at the end of the game but you had to quit the game trick.

I endorse this method.
