What did you guys think of the Doom Raiders taking over the role as the main antagonist for most of the game? Were they actually more threatening than Kaos himself? And are you kind of relieved that at least other villains got to take over the role as the main antagonist in the console versions this time around?

I enjoyed seeing some new characters. They remind me of Chaos's mother and her minions sitting around the dinner table in Swap Force.

The Doom Raiders were so much more threatening than Kaos, and I like how Toys for Bob actually realizes that Kaos can only be threatening so many times. I can't wait to see what they do for a villain in Skylanders 5.

I think they were pretty cool. Wolfgang in my opinion had the most personallity out of the Doom Raiders. The Golden Queen's quest is pretty good for collecting money for Skylanders.

Though, I was expecting the Doom Raiders to be led by Kaos and the Golden Queen since the comic had it set up that way.

The Doom Raiders are awesome! I always love it when villains team up and become a super villain team. My absolute favorite concept in anything with villains and we get to play as these awesome characters. I couldn't be any happier with the idea and they even get a shockingly good amount of character development for guys in a Skylanders game. I was so happy to see actual character development with the old and new characters in the game. This was as close as you can get to hearing the thoughts of our allies and enemies in this game. Especially now that was awesome and funny with the lines he had in the game.

I rather enjoyed seeing Kaos, mostly out of the spotlight, but consider this.
SSA was more focused on Kaos himself, as an introductory game this makes sense.

Giants was more about sheer dumb luck, with the Conquertron as a kind of secondary antagonist.

SSF? Well, primarily Kaos' plan, but we had some new villains, most notably Kaos' mother, and Mesmerelda.

As for Trap Team, well we had a whole team of villains, not unlike our own teams of Skylanders, which was an interesting change of pace.

I can't see Kaos losing the center stage in future titles, but I could see him being supplemented by other villains for him to play against or with. Actually I half wonder if we'd see the 3DS villains cropping again, I almost wish the likes of Hektore came back in Trap Team, but I suppose Dreamcatcher filled the role of "Evil floating head".

The Doom Raiders are cool in my book.

I think the Doom Raiders are fantastically AMAZING! I really loved them. It's really fun having a villains group and because of them, I feel it opens up a lot of great potential for the future

Well, so far I only fought 5 Doom Raiders out of 7, and even the mostly "harmless" Gulper has a really cool and inspired personality.

I like the fact that they all have a theme, which however is an original and rather unseen one, among villains.
That makes Kaos "super villain" personality even more funny!

The Golden Queen is a really fascinating character, and I'm truly scared when thinking I will have to fight her, eventually... She looks so strong!

I must admit my favorite one is probably Krankcase.
His battle is AWESOME!

But, yes, I love them all.

The Doom Raiders are awesome!

It was good to see villains working together instead of just one ruler trying to control them all.

They were definetly more threatening than

They all have such cool personality and abilities that it was awesome to play as them.

The Gulper is the glutton, Dr Krankcase is the mad scientist, Chef Pepper Jeck is the maniacal chef, Dreamcatcher is the seer and dream manipulator, Wolfgang is the rebel, Chompy Mage is the wacky wizard, and the Golden Queen is the fearful, yet respected ring leader and founder of the group.

Speaking as someone who won't own the game but saw the cutscenes through walkthroughs, I thought the villains were done much better than Giants or Swap Force. Of course, villains were supposed to be the game's main draw, so they needed to get it right. I always prefer group villain dynamics to a single antagonist with (potentially) one chief henchman. I also liked CCH Pouncer's performance as the Golden Queen. Wolfgang and Dr. Krankcase were humorous as well.

Wasn't surprised Kaos hijacked the plot in the end. At this point he's reached the Ganon/Dr. Wily tier of "So what excuse are they going to use to make him the final boss this time?"

I just got back to where I lost my save file, so I've again just beat Chef Pepper Jack. I'm loving the fresh flair of the Doom Raiders and I love seeing Kaos struggle to gain credibility in their eyes.

Yep! That's her. I loved her preformance, though some quotes of GQ were odd. Seems likely a lovely woman too.


I'm loving Wolfgang and GQ . I'm REALLY hoping we see them again.

I'm a huge fan of these guys. Their conversations are humorous especially Dr Krankcase and Wolfgang. And I like a group that's not allied with Kaos and actually against him. Here is my thoughts on all of them.

The Gulper- He didn't have a big role in this but he has a cool concept and is quite threatening for the first level.

Chompie Mage- I already liked this guy in Giants and seeing him in my favorite element put a smile on my face. He has cool gameplay and he is my most used villain.

Chef Pepperjack- While he is annoying his boss fight was really cool with all the restaurant dialogue and he did put up a challenge for a early boss.

Dreamcatcher- She is mysterious and creepy and playing her levels at night really fit the mood of her personality. Her powers are pretty cool for a villain.

Dr Krankcase- He is my 2nd favorite Trap Master. He has loads of callbacks with his inventions and goo. He also got a decent fight and good gameplay. His Inventor like personality is very fitting and the cheese plan was hilarious and awesome.

Wolfgang- I thought I would hate this guy because everyone likes him and I tend to dislike popular stuff but I was wrong. He has the personality bossing others around and looking amazing while doing it. He is the most entertaining Doom Raider and his fight was EPIC!

Golden Queen- My personal least favorite but she is a good leader who gives Kaos a run for his money. Her fight is also a lot of fun and great for preparing you for Kaos.

Eh, I'll have to say, when I actually played the game, I liked the Doom Raiders a lot, and I appreciate that not all of them were working together as a team, more like a group of individuals with roughly the same goal. Probably my favorite moments, though, were when Wolfgang just straight out abandoned Dr. Krankcase to further his own goals, as well as when he went 10,000 years into the future and took over an advanced civilization as Emperor single-handedly, seemingly with no intention of caring whether Golden Queen succeeded or not.

Yeah, Wolfgang was actually the only Doom Raider who succeeded in ruling Skylands.

So far up to Dr Krankcase, I've liked all of the Doom Raiders so far, their personalities felt just right. The only underwhelming boss fight in my opinion was Dreamcatcher, despite having a good personality. It just felt a bit easy to me.

Gulper: Kinda lame in my opinion.
Choppy Mage: Still awesome since 2012!
Pepper Jack: Surprised at how he was hard for the 3rd boss, a ton of fun to play as.
Dreamcatcher: Shes funny in that whiney teen kind of way, battle was kinda lame though.
Krankcase: AWESOME battle! Awesome theme song! Awesome gameplay! One of the best!
Wolfgang: Liked him a lot more than I thought I would. Epic battle.
Golden Queen: Awesome theme song but the fight was kinda bland. Great for getting money fast!
Kaos: He's still Invader Zim to me. Still awesome but haven't got to play as him yet. :/

I think it's great that they finally added some new main villains, I mean seriously Kaos is getting boring
Right now I only got to play as Gulper and the Chompy Mage, Gulper is too slow in my opinion, but the chompy mage is pretty powerful, only his summoning attack is useless

Not only that, but I think he does't even need the other Doom Raiders. He even said it himself that he thinks he should be leader.

Heh, that's why her voice sounded so familiar. I'm glad they kept her as Amanda Waller in the Assault on Arkham movie.

But regarding her yeah the game kinda hit its climax with her. It felt like a genuine boss fight, growing more frantic as time goes on and culminating in a mad dash to survive as she chases you down. Kaos was...alright, but definitely a step back. If they'd played up his 4th wall breaking to Psycho Mantis levels I'd have been more impressed personally.

Instead of wanting to rule Skylands, the Golden Queen prefers having all of the gold in the world instead.

Yeah, I got the feeling that Golden Queen was just as capable of taking over Skylands as Wolfgang (if not more so, even!), she just had a different goal. She didn't want domination, she just wanted wealth (which is weird, since her powers can turn anything into gold, from what we've seen).

And even though she had gained the power of the Ultimate Weapon, she still wanted the Doom Raiders by her side.

I'm not too sure about that. Because there's that cutscene where she pulls a Kaos and projects her demands all across Skylands. My crazy theory is that she simply said that to provoke Kaos into calling her out so she could dump him like the useless waste she thought he was. ^.^;

She already prepared her golden rules too.
