This character to me looks so boring. His designer should be ashamed. He looks like a fat guy with a boomerang. Is it just me or did they really drop the ball on this characters physical design?

He's supposed to be an eastern style genie type character.

I don't really care for him either... seems a bit lazy in my opinion. Haven't really used him in game so can't say if hes even any good... only used him to open air gates then he was off the portal right after. I really think they could've come up with a much better air trap master. I'm ok with thunderbolt... but not gusto

I like the fact that he's fat....... Though his game play does look a bit boring.

Hey is there anything you want me to bring for the rest of the week and if so it’s so cool that you can do something and just do it like that

I like his design because it reminds me of the gnorcs from Spyro 1. But when it comes to gameplay, I think Thunderbolt looks better.

Hmmf. I actually really like Gusto, he's supposed to be a genie-thing. I'm looking forward to playing as him...

RIP GhostRoaster. He's reanimated as TakeYourLemons but occasionally is resurrected from the beyond when needed.

I think he's cute! I dunno. In terms of play style, his boomerang move is his best so he's not great at hand to hand combat. Up to you but right now he's the only air trap master available.

I think almost all the trap team characters are lacking in some way.

I get what they were going for with Gusto, and his large ham personality a la Brian Blessed is a joy and works a lot better for him than it does for Lightning Rod, but I find myself generally bored of him. His gameplay's not bad, but it is a bit tricky, and boring. He definitely looks more 'simple' than other Trap Masters, so maybe his design would have worked better as a core.

It's exciting to see a 'non athletic' humanoid Skylander, since that really hasn't been explored yet, but his colouration and design elements remind me more of the Blue Oni than a western genie. I would have prefered if they had explored something more like this, especially if they got Kaboom in as well, making him a Red Oni to contrast a Blue Oni Gusto. Would be cool if the two of them had deeper ties than just 'part of the Trap Team' as their only relation.

I also see the connection to gnorcs from the old Spyro games, and to have him flat out be a gnorc would be a cool nod to the old franchise.

But alas, Gusto is just generic genie-inspired-non-descript-thing and Kaboom is just a big red guy. Maybe a future game.

I think Gusto is awesome! Sure, not visually stunning, but he is quite unique and we do not really have many other "fat" characters.
I agree with wreckingballbob! Jaw Breaker aint bad, not too original in design, but Krypt is overly Chop Chop for my liking.

Well, cannot say anything about Jawbreaker yet (I'll probably get him on Saturday), but If you can get past the "skeleton with a sword" design, wich admittedly isn't easy, Krypt King is quite different from Chop Chop.
He's way slower, but bulky and powerful, and the locust swarm attack is really helpful when confronting large groups of enemies.

Really cool addiction for the Undead team, in my opinion. smilie

I think Gusto is boring, slow moving, and has a slow attack. He was leveled up and put away by my whole family. We had the same attitude towards Jawbreaker...leveled up and put away.

Right now we are partial towards Lob Star, Gear Shift and Wallop.

Very disappointing character, only using him for Air Gates. Idk if it's a glitch on the Wii U but everytime I throw the boomerang it doesn't hurt the enemy (Even if it hits them) but on the way back it hits them.

It hits the first time around, if you're far enough away. However, Gusto is too slow to ever get far enough away from anything. I think the detail on the figure is fine, but the play of the character is almost horrendous. It gets better as you power him up, but only marginally. Got to have access to them gates though, so no regrets.

My idea may not be the best one, but I only played Gusto just to access Air Crystal Gates. The same went with Wallop with Earth and Dark Wildfire with Fire. Afterwards, they have already served their purposes in the game. However, since it hasn't revealed that the Sunscraper Spire and Midnight Museum will have either Earth, Air and/or Fire Crystal Gates in either one of them, I might have the chance to play as Nitro Head Rush, Thunderbolt and Ka-Boom until I actually access all of them.
