but i honestly see a very big chance of this website closing in mid 2015.

from the looks of it, the rate of new members joining since the first skylanders has been stunted a bit and i see members disappearing.

a part of the community is also very hostile and will attack you over anything.

Skylanders ending is like the flu to the site. It happens sooner or later and people will gradually leave.

I highly doubt the amount of people using this site is going to decrease enough to warrant closure in eight months, given we just hit 13'000. The amount of people in this section alone is probably still going to be bigger than the total amount of people active in the years between TLOS and Skylanders, and the site's still here.

Never mind 2004-early 2008 when I doubt there were more than 40 active members at any time. <.<

I kind of doubt that. I mean there's still a lot of active members, and the site is the most popular when it comes to Spyro and Skylanders forums.

I don't really think so, even though it seems Skylanders is the main source of new peeps around here. That makes me a bit sad. Oh well, I would hope it lasts forever, but idk when it will REALLY end.

I've thought about that potentially happening, and I know it will, sooner or later.
Hard to really think of S&N dying though...

Over the day today while I was awake (14 hours) the post counter at the bottom of the forum directory increased by around 600. That may not be very big depending on how active other forums you go on are, but it's pretty telling to me that the site is far from inactive and is bound to continue for quite some time.

seriously, after we have seen the start of the end of the skylanders with 'trap team" (trap team=crap team). while spyro being reduced to a worthless mini thing called 'spry', and there is no chance for a spyro game even if hell freeze over. i think this is a topic that should not be joked about...

If it didn't shut down when Spyro died, then I don't see it happening when Skylanders dies.

This site was still pretty active when I joined in 2010. I think we'll be fine for awhile after skylanders drops. Which probably wont happen anytime soon considering its success.

The site was really active when I joined in 2010 and it's definitely become a lot less active, but at the same time, this is definitely the most active and well-known Spyro site. Plus the image galleries, guidebook, game info/walkthroughs, and other actual Spyro stuff here are really informative and helpful, so even if the forum died (even more than it already has) I doubt the site itself would go away.

And I mean, as slow and inactive as the site is, it's not that dead. The S&N forum is still pretty active, and I still see lots of posts in the Skylanders topics (although I don't go there because I really don't care much about or for Skylanders heh)

Even though I joined this for Skylanders, I will still be on after it becomes another one of those lost and forgotten games in history. Some people might leave when Skylanders dies, but I won't be one of them. It's silly to say that the entire site will die because one game series dies out. This site survived Original Spyro and TLOS losing popularity, so in all likelihood, it won't be closed.

If dark52 has been willing to keep the site up for over ten years, I doubt he's going to be closing it any time soon.
