I really like the one I have now. It's blue and little and it slides and it's practically indestructible, but it's kind of old, I've had it for like four years. It's been really slow lately, and apparently it's having a hard time sending and receiving texts sometimes. Also, it sometimes freezes and restarts itself if too many things are happening at once, and by too many things I mean like two things. So, I need some suggestions on the kind of phone I should get. I probably won't get one anytime soon, but I just want some recommendations so when I can get a new one, I'll already have a good idea of what I might want.

Also, the Nexus 5 is a fantastic phone. It should drop down in price with the Nexus X coming out soon.

Also, the Nexus 5 is a fantastic phone. It should drop down in price with the Nexus X coming out soon.

The Nexus 5 is a beast, get that phone.

I have the Galaxy S5 and I used to have an iPhone 4S.
They're both pretty great phones, though the Galaxy has better performance. But this is comparing an old phone with a new one. I don't know how different the new iPhones are because I stopped following their news. All I know is the new one is big.

It depends what you want your phone for.
I went with the Galaxy because I wanted to try something new.

In terms of usability and durability these cellphones were once in a lifetime inventions. One only needed to change the rechargeable battery once in every 5 – 6 years. But because matching batteries are not made anymore, that phone has gone almost extinct from the world of cellphones. They were also incredibly enduring surviving tremendous punishment. If I had to choose either having a new copy of those 3310s or some current smart phone I would choose that 3310 in a heartbeat.
