Several times for me.
1999: Spleen removed when I was five.
2001: Tonsils and Adenoids removed when I was seven.
2007: Septo-plasty. Apparently I had some bent cartalidge in my nose, blocking one of my air pipes. And they did some procedure called Turbonate as well?
2013: Molar tooth sawed. It wasn't anything THAT bad but apparently it was so low onto my jaw that my Dentist had to mention several times that he may paralyze my lower lip in the process. My tooth was very far down on the jaw and right on some nerve they were incredibly scared in damaging. They had to saw down the tooth. Took an hour. Eight shots of painkiller (novacaine?) because I could feel it.
I'm worried now because I think I have an abnormality on my lower left abdomen. I have a physical coming up. Really hope its damaged scar tissue. Apparently your spleen can grow back (I don't want to believe this) and the area where I'm having troubles is where my spleen used to be...
Also worth mentioning I have a blood disorder that affects my immune system. Yay for having a slightly weaker immune system than most twenty year olds....

broke my big toe when i was in first grade, whole toenail fell off
wrecked my bike when i was in sixth or seventh grade, i had scrapes everywhere but i had to have my chin glued shut using SPECIAL SURGICAL GLUE because it ripped open. still got a scar there, but it's under my chin so not too noticable i think that's it oh if it counts, getting my wisdom teeth removed my junior year i think it was? i don't remember much of that day at all. i found a selfie on my phone i took in the car ride on the way home after having them removed but i have no memory of taking the photo |

Depending on what you define as surgery I could have had as little as 0 or as many as 9.

I split my head open when I was 10, and had to go under to get stitches if that counts.

When I was five I was in the playground playing tag and one of my friends tagged me but accidentally pushed me, my head hit one of the metal benches we had(now removed) and it split open, had to have it stiched.

I do not want to talk about it. Even hearing the words "surgery" and "broken" make me uneasy after my experience.

Reading this topic is almost painful. I hope you all recovered from your surgeries without many problems
![]() Anyway, I've never had to go in for surgery before. If it counts, I did have to get my wisdom teeth out in July, though. They had to actually dig large holes in the gum and pry them out from below because they didn't emerge from my gums yet. We did it early so I would heal quicker and because they were worried they would crowd my other teeth together, especially on the top right side; I had an extra smaller wisdom tooth growing almost on top of the normal one.

but i love it all smooth |
