Floor 9
Boss Room

Bowser's Castle

The players spread out about the room, hoping to distract the beast from each other. With its large size, the highest anyone can reach is just above its ankles. The plan appears to work for the most part, anytime the beast turns its focus on any individual player, another strikes it from behind.

"We can do this! Just a bit more!" Avatari encourages the others noting the monster's health at about a third left.

After a few more hits the beast lets out a loud roar in anger, echoing through the cavern. Its eyes glow purple and appear almost as if covered in flames. It turns its head about the cave, darting its eyes between the players.

"This would probably that mode most boss monsters take where it goes all rage mode and gets like 10 times harder for that final round... Great..." Dmc groans.

The beast launches balls of purple fire from its mouth about the cave wildly, making attacking him prove difficult while dodging the large balls of fire. One such ball comes flying straight for Cynderfan.

"Like hell am I dying here like this!" Cynderfan says as she sees the flames draw near. "Take this loser instead!" She grabs EP who is nearby and throws him in front of her.

"What the hell?!" EP shouts in confusion just before the fireball hits him; his body shielding Cynderfan from the attack. The flames engulf EP causing his health to drop quickly. His body shatters into pixel shards that dissipate into the air.

"Dude.... Not cool." Dmc shakes his head at Cynderfan.

"What? It's survival of the fittest." Cynderfan replies almost as if she doesn't care that EP just died.

"Great! Now I have to worry about the other players killing me too!" Sky starts to panic.

During their discussion, no one notices as the beast swipes its hand across the ground until it is too late. Cynderfan catches it from the corner of her eye just as its large palm comes into contact with her body, smacking her across the arena. She soars straight into the cavern wall. Before she falls down from it, the beast hits her with a ball of fire. Her body shatters into pixel shards.

"Hate to be that guy, but I'd say that was some instant-karma." CAV comments.

Avatari ignores his words and charges at the beast. "Let's avenge them and finish this!" Several others join in with her in an all out attack, striking at once. The combined attack is enough to defeat the beast. It falls forward, first to its knees, then on down to its belly. Black smoke engulfs it, disintegrating the monster into nothing. At the back of the cave a wall opens up revealing a staircase to the next floor.

Sunshine Forest

Haggstrom

As soon as the players enter the floor, they notice it to be different, more peaceful. As far as the eye can see, everything appears to be one large meadow. Small butterflies flutter about with a few trees scattered about.

"I like it here..." HDAZ says absentmindedly.

The others silently agree with her. They all walk out into the meadow and look around. No enemies seem to be present, that is unless they're in a safe zone and don't realize it. They continue to roam about the area, staying together. Everything seems to have a certain glow to it, like the whole floor is happy. After some time, they eventually come across Darkwolf in a plush-like form.

"Hi, this place is one of peace. No enemies are on this floor. Relax and enjoy." Darkwolf says

"Best floor in the game." Sky lies down in the grass.

"I guess there's no harm in taking a break every now and again." Avatari smiles and sits down.

Reprieve

Sunshine Forest

Subwoofer Lullaby

Days pass by with the players just relaxing in the meadow. Though it all blends together as the sun seems to never set on this floor. Everything is so peaceful, so calm, like all the worries in the world just melt away simply by sitting by a tree amidst some flowers.

"We should stay here forever..." Sky lets out a relaxed sigh.

"Yeah...this floor has everything." Avatari smiles.

"I'm just happy to see us all happy and together like this.... No fighting, no bickering, only peace..." HDAZ agrees.

Darkwolf is sitting in the tree playing a panflute while Dmc is sitting against the tree swaying his head to the tune.

"I feel like there was something I wanted to do, but I can't remember... All I want now is to stay here...." The words come out of Dmc's mouth calmly and somewhat lazily with a hint of tiredness.

CAV takes in a big breath of the clean fresh air. "Ahhh..." He sighs as he lets it out. "Hmm? Wait... Something's wrong..."

"Nothing's wrong, just relax." Darkwolf says.

"No, I-I sense something in the air, I think...." CAV takes another whiff of a air, a light one. He quickly stands up, eyes wide in horror. "I knew it." He picks up one of the flowers and wafts the scent from it. The smell almost makes him collapse. "These flowers are emitting a form of anesthetic."

"What...?" Avatari looks at him through half open eyes.

"The flowers are drugging us." He speaks slowly and calmly, like one typically does to those who don't speak the same language. "Get up!" He pulls on Avatari's arm.

She fights him, her body mostly limp.

"Uggh...." He selects a flask of water from his inventory and throws it on her.

She comes to her senses and sits up. "What was that for?!"

"The flowers are the challenge here. Their sending out a gas to poison our senses and numb our bodies, killing our drive to complete the game. We need to go, now." He emphasizes the last word.

"Darkwolf said there's no danger here though?" Avatari asks, confused.

"He's likely under the effects as well. Let's get the others."

CAV and Avatari manage to snap Sky and HDAZ back to normal and get them to get up.

"What about Dmc?" Sky asks. They all stand together watching as Dmc sleeps peacefully under the shade of the tree.

"He's too far gone, the drugs have him. I don't think there's anything we can do for him now..." CAV sounds a bit saddened at the thought of leaving him behind.

"At least we know he's safe here...." HDAZ comments.

"Let's go, the way to the next floor should be close by." Avatari leads them onward.

Taft Village

It's Showtime

The four remaining players sit together at a table in the lower floor of the town's hotel, having just gotten up for the morning. They seem rather sad judging by the looks on their faces.

"Four floors to go and there's only four of us left. Four out of fourteen.... We're never going to make it." Sky has her head on the table buried in her arms.

"Don't say that! We'll get through this!" HDAZ stands up, attempting denial. In her heart however, she believes the same, yet tries to fight it with her usual optimism.

"We've made it so far, but at what cost? We've lost so many to make it here. So many people.. and I couldn't do anything for them..." Avatari agrees. The reality of it all finally setting in on the remaining players.

"We have to keep going though, otherwise it's all for nothing." CAV adds. "Everyone's death will have been in vain. We have to, for them."

"And what if we die too?!" Sky lifts her head, her cheeks are stained with dried tears.

"Then at least we tried; we went down fighting, rather than just giving up and letting him win." CAV tries to encourage them. "Isn't that right, Avatari?"

"Yes..." Avatari wipes away her own tears. "We have to keep fighting. If we win, we win, for them, for our freedom. If not, at least we die a warrior's death."

"I'm not really much of a warrior... I just want to live." Sky says.

"We will, if we just work together." HDAZ gives a shaky smile. Her optimistic nature doing everything it can to prevail.

The group sets out later that afternoon in search of the way to the next floor.

In their search, they come across an odd building with glass walls. The building has 4 floors and appears to be filled with mirrors. The worn down words "Fun House" are barely lit at the top. One of the "guide-pixies" in the form of HCI comes walking out wearing a little ringmaster outfit and swinging a magician's cane comes striding from the building.

"Come one come all! Down to HCI's Maze of Mirrors! What mysteries will you find when you reach the top? Why don't you give it a try and find out?" He smirks to the four players.

"I suppose this our task to progress... Make it through the maze to the top?" CAV inquires.

"What fun would it be if I told you what the reward was?" HCI asks, looking at CAV as if he just asked a stupid question.

Floor 11
Mirror Maze

The Ultimate Show

The four proceed into the maze. To keep track of another, they hold hands as they walk through the maze. HDAZ, who is in the lead, feels about to see what is a mirror, what is simply a glass wall, and what is real. The method works in getting them to the second level of the maze, that is until HDAZ presses on a wall that moves. The wall starts spinning and HDAZ falls through it. As she slips, she loses grip on CAV's hand. The wall seals closed after she passes through the revolving wall.

"NO!" CAV calls. He tries to bang on the wall and get it to open, but it doesn't budge.

"I am not losing another friend in this game." Avatari draws her sword and attacks the mirror before her. The wall shatters to bits, yet HDAZ isn't there.

"Aren't you worried about the bad luck from breaking a mirror?" SKy asks.

"Not really, I just want to save her." Avatari continues to hack through the mirrors on the floor.

Even after every wall is shattered, HDAZ is still nowhere to be found. The three move on the next floor where Avatari resumes slashing through every wall and mirror she can to try to find HDAZ. CAV shields Sky in the back of the room from the shards of glass flying about in Avatari's rampage. Once she's cleared the room and made it to the stairs to the fourth and final floor, CAV and Sky walk across the room and join her. The same process of destruction moves through the fourth floor with HDAZ still nowhere to be found.

"Where is she?!" Avatari cries out frantically.

"Where's who?" A voice responds from the door out of the building. HDAZ walks into the room. "Hi guys. After I feel through I heard this loud crashing and kept running since I didn't know what it was. I eventually found my way out."

Avatari rushes over and gives HDAZ a big hug. HCI walks up and sees the piles of broken glass littering the floor.

"You cheated!" He shouts at the players.

"Too bad." CAV kicks him back down the stairs.


No one has been eliminated!
Yeah, today was non-elimination. Wasn't supposed to be originally, but stuff happened like double-elimination and it became that way.

Granzam Town

Midna's Lament

The players are walking out of town, on their usual routine of scouting.

"We made it through that last one without losing anyone. See, just work together and we can do this." HDAZ encourages them.

"Yes, but I'm not sure if we can keep making it through them with the... method... we used last time." CAV clears his throat at "method", noting how they pretty much cheated their way through the maze.

"We'll find a way. We've made it this far, we can't give up now." Avatari strides her way along the path, filled with confidence.

"Of course making it through one floor, doesn't mean we can just relax." Sky says agreeing with CAV. "This place is still really dangerous. There's a reason 10 of our friends aren't with us anymore. Something could always jump out any moment and get us."

The next few minutes are filled with silence, the others knowing she's right that no matter how hard they try, they could die at any moment within this nightmare of a game; the mood effectively killed.

HDAZ is the first to break the silence, finding a way to lighten things back up. "This would probably be about the time EP would make some comment on how the death factor makes it so much cooler." HDAZ smiles, remembering her fallen friend fondly. The others laugh at her comment, knowing it's true on how he'd say something twisted like that if he were there.

Time passes by rather easily like this, the players talking about good times they shared between them and the others, ignoring the bad. They barely even notice as they pass through a dense forest and come across an odd, large stone door covered in moss in vines until they've practically walked into it.

"This looks rather interesting." CAV walks up to it and runs his hand along the intricately carved stone.

"This is typically the kind of thing that we have to pass through, now where's the guide-pixie?" Avatari starts looking about.

"You rang?" King_Pika comes out from behind the door. Oddly he appears dressed as the Disney character Kim Possible.

"Hey guys! What's up?!" Parisruelz walks out from the other side.

"We get 2 this time? Not sure if this is a good thing..." Sky notes hesitantly.

"No need to worry." KP says.

"We're here to help you solve the riddle of the door and get you through." Paris gives a happy smirk.

"Riddle?" CAV looks to them, interested.

"It's quite simple." KP says.

"Though not really." Paris shrugs at Pika.

"The door has 3 locks. Each requires a certain codeword." KP explains.

"The door provides a series of riddles to clue you to what each might be." Paris continues.

"Figure out all 3, and the door opens."

"Just be wary of guessing incorrectly."

Legend of the Digital Emblems
A challenge from the only season in which Pika and Paris both played. You will have to guess what I'm thinking of. There are 3 rounds in which you can win. Win a round and you make it to the next challenge. Only one not to win is out. The way to win you ask? Simple, figure out what I'm thinking of before anyone else. It's rather like 20 Questions, I could be thinking of a person, a place, or a thing, and you can only ask me Yes or No questions. You will ask 20 at a time via pm, then I will post the answers here, yet not the questions so your opponent can't see what you asked. Afterwards you get 3 attempts to guess what it might be. The process continues until someone guesses correctly.
