Is there any improvement in the PS4 version of Trap Team over PS3 as far as graphics or loading times? I have a PS4, but since all my Skylander games are on the PS3, I thought it'd be better to stick with that for the sake consistency. I also heard the WiiU version utilizes the gamepad, but I often find some of the gamepad features unnecessary (not to mention a clunky and bulkier controller). Any advantages to owning the WiiU version? While I understand it's still early on in game release and you may not have had a chance to play the game on multiple platforms, I appreciate any input on differences you notice in between versions of the game and which one you prefer after having observed/played more than one version of the game. I'm sure this feedback will help us collectors who are waiting for Black Friday-type discounts or bigger sales before purchasing Trap Team.

I switched from PS3 to PS4 last year with Swap Force. I suggest you just do that, honestly.

the ps4 version is more buggy than the ps3 version(ps4 patch 343mb/ps3 patch 20mb). so its best to stick with the ps3 version. also graphically the ps4 trap team is a step back from swap force we had last year. the ps3 version graphically is the same as x360/wiiu, no differences...

Do yourself a favor and get the PS4. Been playing on PS3 for first three and recently got the Swap Force Starter and it was one of the best looking games I've ever seen. Trap Team is a work of art on PS4. Load Times are good but hard to compare to Swap Force since loading seems wonky. Swap Force Loading on the PS4 takes longer than Trap Team on PS4 so there you go.

i dont disagree its beautiful but swap force is more beautiful, so it is a step back... also if you compare last years wii swap force to this year wii trap team. then wii trap team is a step forward...

I didn't see it in person, YET, but I'd say the PS4 graphics of Trap Team look different, from the SWAP Force ones, not worse.
I think those textures, lights, animation, and effects suit waaaay better a Skylanders game, than the cool but "it's either metal or clay" of the precedent chapters (mostly referring to the characters).

To me it looks more like... more issues have been fixed on the PS4 version, not that it is more glitched? Moreover, the nature of the fixes themselves can affect the size of the patch regardless of the quantity of issues. |

Any word on the audio fix for the PS4 cinematics?

What's the issue on PS4? I have the Xbox One version and I notice that on some of the cutscenes, certain NPC audio sounds kinda tinny, very odd. |

Wii U has exclusive features like using the gamepad as a table top version of Skystones Smash.
Plus when you have a trap in the portal with a captured villain inside, the villain appears on the gamepad screen as if they are trapped in a crystal room. It's like you're looking inside the trap. You can swipe and poke the villain to make it react. My son got a kick out of it and I thought it was a nice little extra feature.

If I owned a PS3 and a PS4, I'd go with the PS4 version every time. The extra detail in the graphics are very welcome. I wouldn't read too much into the difference in patch sizes, there are lots of reasons they would be different sizes; and remember, they're just the bugs they've caught, there could just as easily still be game breaking bugs undiscovered in any version. If you're stuck without the ability to patch the game, it might be worth trying to find more information on the specific fixes in each, but as long as you have an internet connection, PS4 all the way.

It's too bad they didn't do anything like that with the Xbox One's Smartglass capabilities. |
