Nightmare mode.

I just beat the game and it tells me I have to start a new game to play on nightmare. They really should have done it the way swap force did it.

Also do you get more XP on the higher levels?

There's an option where you can change difficulty though

Any really special bonuses for the whole game in Nightmare mode, including Kaos' Doom Challenge and Arena Battles like super powerful hat and ultra-rare Legendary Treasure?

If they were doing it like Giants then EASY gives you the most XP, Nightmare the LEAST. I'm curious to see how they did it this time.

Another case of "Toys for Bob Knows Best". They should look at some of these inconveniences and patch them up, or at minimum spend more time studying what VV did instead of wholesale dismissing it as "Not Designed By Me" for their next game.

If we got a Skylanders game where they mixed the best of VV and TfB, it would be a very welcome sight.

Even after beating the first game file, is it possible to get the Nightmare mode back by erasing one of the game files? Say that I didn't start any of the four game files in Nightmare mode, what then?

Honestly, a lot of this stuff seems to be TFB denying certain changes VV made, in particular Nightmare mode and how it's handled, not to mention "Armor" going back to "Dodge", thankfully it's more reliable than in giants and enemies don't seem to dodge anymore, but I really liked armor as flat mitigation rather than dodge chance.

That and the nerf to the Volcano hat.
