The project is not closed, but all development has been moved offsite. If you wish to be a part of the project or to simply watch it you'd find a lot more activity on the deviantArt page, located here.

To those of you asking when the movie will be released; there is no specific set date. The movie is still in early stages of development and has been for three years, so there is no way of knowing when it will be completed.

On another note, those of you asking for voice acting roles should go to the dA page linked above and ask about it there, not here. However, there are no completed scripts (or even storyboards) at this point in time, so you're getting a little ahead of yourselves.

Ever since we got a new director and scripter, the Project Frixion has been going down hill ever since. The modeler is crap and can hardly sculpt any characters properly. The script is something out of a bad fan-fiction, it's nothing like TLOS really. I have up on it due to the decrease in development and for motivation. I honestly miss our old team..

Edit: Holy crap, looked at the art. There's little to no model work done and the "promotional art" is very amateur. There is nothing for this movie to show but fanboy wishes.

Bolt.. It's been waaay too long. We need the original creator back, and badly. This project that many talented artists put into has been completely torn apart and destroyed by actual 12 years old's.

I'm not even joking, they are actually twelve.

Bolt, you were the one who shined light onto this fan project, for three-four years it has been going on, and for the past year and a half it has been a sh*** storm.

We need you back,

We need Skijarama back,

We need OmicronWanderer back,

We need the the people who actually KNEW about the series and were dedicated to it to be back.

Please Bolt, you are probably the last hope for Project Frixion before it becomes a fizzled out, poorly made fan project.

Why not start a new project? If you can manage to find those people you can tell them how you want to start the project again. It doesn't seem like there are many useful resources made for this project yet and anyway, if you really think something made for the old project works, you can use it again (or make a better version of it/be inspired by it for new work) as long as you get permission from its creator.

Problem is, it would be next to impossible. Project Frixion is very popular, and to start a whole new project while finding dedicated artists is going to be a milestone.

It is useless to start a whole new fan-movie project.

Skijarama had left because of school, he gave up his director job to some guy we all never heard of. Omicronwander, or Skywanderer, had just vanished into thin air. We had her to thank for boosting us forward into the art community. Project Frixion was starting to die on DarkSpyro, but was thriving on DeviantART, and now even that is starting to die because of kids who run it now.

If you could tag team with me in writing a story, that would be awesome. Unless of course you feel like writing it by yourself. Have you read what the new script is like? It's terrible.

How would we even be able to re-boot it again though?

This project is dead.

And, uh, yeah, you can get a C&D even for non-charged, free fan projects. If the trademark holder feels what's being done threatens their franchise or (as in the case of Disney) just needs to defend the trademark against any and all interlopers, you can get shut down just for being a fan. Hell, Anne McCaffrey did exactly this to some of her fans and all because they were just drawing fan art.

Thank you for clarifying this. I understand now, as I just remembered a similar situation with the Star Wars franchise just for using images on a certain fansite.

Oh, and as bold'd....can you explain the rocky start? Is there any documentation as to how this started. I'm really curious, as I feel the same way. I just don't feel like searching through the pages of hell known as deviantart.

XD It was just something I observed watching the initial team come together, almost immediately fall apart, a new team come together, then also fall apart, seeing iterations of the script that, frankly, were about as good as a mediocre-at-best fanfiction, seeing production work that was mediocre at best even when using actual assets from the games... It was just really clear that this was yet another project with a lot of passion at first but none of the drive or resources that are needed to actually produce anything of note.
