Yes, I've done showdown so I know what the rules are like.
but I feel like they ban everything that's "overpowered" when there are literal counters in lower tiers. Most of you may not agree with me, but they just take what's fun and make it some ranking system. Seriously? Ranking things by how much they're used? Just, just NO. IT'S ILLOGICAL

then those counters begin to see use in higher tiers. like weezing who's only niche was "countering" mega mawile.

i don't see smogon players complaining, because there isn't a thing to complain about. the tiers are the best way of making pokemon a succesful strategy game where you play with what you wish to play.

and as always, i'll complain that separating into "legendary/not legendary" is stupid as ****

Not all gamestops do midnight launches for it. It depends on how many preorders they get.

Fair point, remember though that 100% thunders will b a thing too, but not as many people run thunder <.<

Not necessarily, sprites for the shiny locked legends do exist in the games' coding despite not being available. I think they do so for coding reasons, like how they did with ???-type Arceus in Gen 4. The typing isn't available, but a sprite exists. Likely put in there to prevent game crashes in the event of glitches, hacks, or whatever reason in which the game would attempt to access the sprite for the type that did exist at the time.

Even then, shinies of Groudon and Kyogre are potentially obtainable in Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Soul Silver, & Heart Gold, making it so shinies of the primals could be obtained anyway, even if the Kyogre and Groudon from the game being unobtainable as shiny in OR/AS.
