Is anyone else having trouble with the new portal? I've played three times since yesterday and at least once every time I play, the portal will lose contact with a character and have the character loading screen play through again. This morning at one point it looped four times in a row before it let me do anything.

Tried using the portal with Swap Force and having the same problem. It's on a solid surface and hasn't been bumped at all. Also, a few of the figures have taken up to half a minute to load in (both new characters and older ones).

I wanted to ask around in case it's a general issue with the new portal, and not a one-off thing I should go and replace it for.

I'm having the same issue.

What console? Mine is working fine I am on PS4.

i haven't had any issues, i'm on PS3

is there a problem with your usb on your ps4?... if swap force and new tt portal do the same... hmm... did this happen to your swap force when you only had that one on the ps4?... do you have a ps3 and other skylanders games to test with?..

On another note, will your trophies sync? I can't sync my trophies.

That's a good idea, I'll try with the other usb port and see if that solves it, cheers for the tip.

Yeah, the portal I got with swap force has always worked fine, never had an issue with it. And all my older 'Landers games are on 360, not sure if my portal will work with 360, but I'll try it out.

I've not had any issues with the SF portal on the console, but I'll try my luck with swapping to the other usb port, thanks. I guess if the problem persists, I'll ask around about getting it replaced.

Don't have my console hooked up online right now, but I'll try it out this evening and let you know.

Is the portal on a metal surface cause this happend to me in Swapforce just see if it's not since the portal can detect the metal surface loosing contacts with the figure

I just had it saying it wasn't connected or something to that extent, on our xbox360. Unplugged it and then plugged it back in and it hasn't done it since. It had been working fine and hadn't been touched before that happened.

my brother had the same issue with SF, he found a thread about this online, it said and i'm not making this up, plug in your cell phone or a MP3 player into one of the ports and it should work fine, i told him he was nuts. He did it and has never had a problem since.

If anyone owns a Wii U and experiences the same issue, please let us know.

Make sure there's no magnetic areas nearby, like speakers and such. It's been known to interfere. Make sure there's a good 2 feet of "clear space" around the portal. Experiment with portal placement in your configuration as well.

Also, make sure you don't have any figures right BESIDE the portal, it can cause the portal to go a little nuts.

Same problem with trophies, Trap Team ones are nowhere to be found.

Currently downloading the update (343 MB, yowch), hopefully that will solve it?
