High Five: He's still one of my favourites of the new Skylanders. I like his animations.
Bat Spin: I had no interest in buying Bat Spin at all. However, after seeing her gameplay and her bat form I might be interested in buying her now.
Flip Wrek: His design looks good but I thought that his gameplay looked boring. I don't think that I'll buy him.

I think they probably will, maybe even transparent.
It would match his virtual counterpart.

That doesn't really anything . They could still be just traptanium gates.

They're guaranteed to be around, the thing is if normal gates will still show up. They wouldn't change Soda Springs' Water Traptanium gate, for example, if people are getting Snapshot anyway.

That's what I mean . There will probably only be traptanium gates.

I just noticed high five's battle cry is a phrase often used by bumble blast. Perhaps it should have been something like 'let's go buzz-erk'

Looks like they recycled some of the Skylanders' battle cries as catchphrases for the Frito Lay Skylanders.

Well, better recycle than risking an obscure/hard to get pun on that theme. Some catchphrases already fall flat enough, like Smolderdash's.

Better than blasé "Roast and Toast!", "Locked and Loaded!" and "Volts and Lightning!". I mean, VV gave us some catchphrases that really didn't feel like battlecries ("Amp it Up!" or "Eight Legs and No Pegs!" or "If There's a Drill, There's a Way!"), but the ones I can think of at least fit the character themes better than the aforementioned Sunburn, Cynder and Zook quotes. At this point I barely pay attention to the cries, though.

Cheesy is better than nothing, though. It allows for some times where the pun just makes me roll my eyes with how clever they managed to make them - like Slam Bam's "Four Armed and Dangerous!" or Snap Shot's "Croc and Roll!"(even if Bash already used that expression once, but the pun part is what made this still sound pretty funny). "Blaze of Glory!" is just... Hey, fire character, strong character, let's make a catchphrase which literally says she has fire powers and is strong.

My priblem with those isn't that they're cheesy. They feel like any character with lightning abilities or fire or a gun could have them and they aren't even fun. Smolderdash's phrase is the same, but at least it goes with her slightly better because she's holding a fire torch, and at least it's a little entertaining as a reference to another piece of media.

We've had several "Rock and Roll" puns now, and Snap Shot's isn't even as clever as the last two because it doesn't tie in with any of his moves. He doesn't actually roll.

Some of TFB's catchphrases are wonderful (Tree Rex's is still the best), but they've also made some really lame or lazy ones like VV.

Personally I'm fine with catchphrases as long as they aren't like Hot Head's "Hey I'm on Fire!" catchphrase. Now that is nothing more than stating the obvious there.

It's a joke on saying someone is on fire when they're doing something really well or several things in a row. It took me forever to notice that but watching some people say that a lot on LPs made me make the connection eventually.

I think they meant roll as quickly springing into action, but that would make it a pun twice and that's terrible.

And yeah, the catchphrases fit way too many characters for something that they've been mentioned to compete over. But I hardly can think of better ones, so dunno.

Fist Bump's catchphrase, "Knock knock... Too Late!", is also one of Stealth Elf's battle cries too.

Ok... High Five is officially my favorite Skylander EVER! (Sorry Blades and Camo)

Flip Wreck looks fun and fast

Bat Spin is cool but got outshined by the other two in my opinion.

I agree with this order (Favorite)

She says that phrase as one of her battle cries, even says it countless times back in SSA.

Awww man you are right she does. Here I thought they were actually being clever this time with his catchphrase, but yet again just another recycled quote. I'm really starting to miss the originality with these phrases. Not a huge deal, but that aesthetic sure is beginning to become dry.

I don't like using that argument often, but... Can you guys even think of better catchphrases that a)fit the character and b)is a witty pun or play on words?
I'm trying my hardest to not be insulting. I'm just totally stumped when I try to think of catchphrases for some fan skylander concepts, let alone try and think of a better phrase for an existing skylander. If I was a designer for the game and noticed there was this SSA dialogue left unused that could work as a catchphrase it'd be a godsend.

While looking over Stealth Elf's battle cries, she also says "Hide and sleek".

.......Of course it might've been a coincidence.

I would say that if it weren't for the fact that Swap Force was being worked on since Spyro's Adventure came out, so I guess they used that battle cry for Trap Shadow. Once again not a big deal, but I rather see only 5 characters with similar phrases not 10 of them.

I thought about "Stalg-Might", for Fist Bump.

However, I agree with you.
Didn't even noticed those things, since I play an italian dubbed version, but at least, you don't have two completely identical catchphrases, in english...

I'm positively sure all 3 of these were already named by Activision and Toys for Bob. Had to have done so prior in order to code the game, poster, cards, guides, etc. Then probably chose the submissions that matched theirs.

Did not want her much before because of her sucky name, but since I love bats....Bat Spin is really growing on me. Still a maybe for Flip Wreck. Pass on High.
