Seriously, Destructrons have liquid metal armor-like skin, it takes a lot of destructive power to destroy one. Taking on an entire fleet is pretty impressive.

Liquid metal skin? try pure Cybertronian metal, able to withstand most weaponary not specifically engineered to take it down.

Well, liquid metal skin is the most accurate description I could find, seeing as the Destructons are eldritch abominations created from sorrows of the captives of Shangri'La, and embedded with quantum abilities, tasked with the assimilation or destruction of all opponents. Keep in mind that on a version of earth filled with Dragon Knights, beings capable of unleashing attacks capable of leveling armies with a wave of their hand, the Destructrons still managed to destroy the vast majority of the planet (to the degree that we only ever see one group of survivors).
