@TTD: Any news on GAME having Gearshift as a pre-order bonus?

Gearshift is probably going to be one of my favourite Skylanders, alongside Pop Fizz and Pop Thorn.

The main reason I like them is because

At first, I thought Gearshift was going to be my least favourite new Skylander. However, my least favourite (by gameplay) so far is either Head Rush or Wildfire, even though I'm definitely getting Wildfire (I pre-ordered the Dark Edition).

I was in the Team Valley Smyths on Saturday and asked about the pre-orders and the guy on the till was completely clueless, he had no idea about anything.

He said "I only know what is on the official website.".

Before I spoke to him he was just hiding away pretty much behind a stand where hardly anyone would see him as he was messing about on a computer.
I was standing at the till for a good minute or two before I had to shout him over.

Either way I have just pre-ordered the 3DS version on the site now, don't think I trust the idiots in the store itself (Plus it isn't exactly easy for me to get to the store).

I still don't know what to do about the 3DS version. Why put the same figures in!!!
I will probably wait and wait and wait till it drops in price and save way more money than the cost of buying gearshift.

if it had unique figures again it would be a sure thing to pre-order it now... Sad.

Not sure which battlepack but certainly looks the best Preorder bonus so far from anywhere

I dont live in the UK but my guess would be the cannon one

It's on this page. I can understand why it's a bit confusing. They've been giving out loads of conflicting reports but this coupled with the emails three or four of us have had basically confirms the details.

Hopefully there's not a massive administrative mess up on release day and we all get our pre order goodies!

Pre-ordered online via smyths as well, that pre-order package seemed too good not to, though not sure i need the battle pack but its a bonus regardless.....

Changed my pre-order to Smythstoys as well.

When I changed my pre-order to the Dark Edition, I asked if Gearshift was available for pre-order, and they said she wasn't.

Stick it on ebay for a fiver. Soften the overall blow Trap Team will make on the wallet.

Well I cancelled my Zavvi pre-order and placed one with SmythsToys.
It was £9 more, but to get the battle pack, gearshift and a trap it seems much better value!

Has anyone heard any news about the UK ToysRUs exclusives, or any info about the Micro Comic Fun Packs?

I saw the Legendary Trap that one of them includes and I wants it bad!

If you mean at Smyths then yes, that's exactly what I am doing.

Also, does anyone know if there are any UK prices revealed for anything other than the games? (I want to figure out how much I'm going to spend...)

SWEEETTT!! Also i decided to get the dark from GAME and get the regular ps4 starter pack from Smyths, with gearshift and shield shredder because the 3ds is only £4.00 cheaper.

Thanks for the exclusives Dark, ordered from Asda, but Tesco want £7.95 delivery! And no option to collect at store, may change nearer release date I guess

Me too! Looks like this may be the standard approach (if you can afford it) to get all the pre-order freebies.

Btw, I don't have a new gen console yet, but will prob get one in the next 12 mths, so I'm getting one pre-order starter for current gen and one for new gen.

Just noticed that Game online has SOLD OUT the Dark version for PS4 and Wii U ! (?)

(but for the Wii U, didn't I read somewhere that you can buy the Wii version (still available) and upgrade to Wii U ?)

The Wii version apparently comes with a download code for WiiU version.

I have taken the gamble and ordered the Wii version (I have a WiiU) because I prefer no disk.
Worst case I can just return it and swap for WiiU one (paying the extra).

I emailed Smyths and they told me that the battle pack was random. We don't have a choice

High five will be a frito lay contest prize. AT FIRST. This prize only means you'd get him before retail availability, and he'd be free.

He won't stay exclusive forever, just like QuickDraw. At worst he'll be released in the last wave.

Gearshift is not free but he thought that it would be replaced by another figure called riot sheild
But i dont think that is correct so it looks as if we would just get the trap and battle pack
Of course they have been smart enough not to take any money for the pre-orders so they can change it
but for me that means i will be getting it all from elsewhere if this is true.

The problem we will all have is that Smyths didnt require any money to reserve it , in fact i wanted to pay outright for it but they wouldnt take it

so realistically all that will happen is that you can complain but they really dont have to do anything

although as they know about this and have the numbers from the Preorder taken they should at least contact everyone to let them know
as it will hurt their reputation and at the moment you have to decide if its still worth getting from them or maybe looking around at the other offers but as they include the battle pack even though most will already have it its still the best pre order offer at the moment
