2. PS4 version already came out. Vita version was just announced to have been sent to Sony for approval and release as well.
3. Free textures and mods are not made by the devs and will come to PC regardless.

Why do people always throw a fit when Microsoft does things like talk about buying Mojang or making Tomb Raider exclusive, yet all that exclusive DLC bull**** Sony does is perfectly ok and even praised (Destiny is also permanently a Sony exclusive in Japan)?

Why are you upset over this? If you read the PR statement they are supporting every other platform this game is on.

Notch, and two of the other founders left as well. Anything Mojang releases after Minecraft will surely be Xbox/Window's exclusive though.

The Playstation versions of the game (even the Xbox versions) were not made by Mojang. They were made by 4J Studios, who is independent and made/update the ports themselves (hence why the console versions are behind the PC version in updates). And they aren't going with Mojang in the sale to Microsoft. Calm down. PS3/4 versions are already out and Vita version is being bug tested.

Really guys, the only big news related to this that anybody has to be "afraid" of is Minecraft 2 (should something like that ever even happen) would likely be exclusive to XB1 and maybe PC.

Microsoft still has some ground in the PC market and allows games otherwise exclusive to Xbox to release on it (Titanfall). And wasn't a significant amount of appeal to Minecraft on PC the free user-created mods that it can support?

Yeah, it's definitely possible that Minecraft on Xbox and PC may have exclusive items and such, but it's not that big of a deal.

Xbox, Playstation, mobile, and someday Nintendo ports have all been done by 4J Studios, a completely independent studio that was brought on to port the games. They will continue to update the console and handheld versions of the game at the pace they already have been (which is behind the PC version, but not too far off).

Minecraft LPers will likely be fine, as Microsoft is well aware that they are the ones that made Minecraft as big as it is today.

Minecraft doesn't need a sequel yet. But it's safe to say that within the next 5 or so years there will be a time where new features they want to implement can't be brought in with the current game's limitations, and a sequel will begin development.

And see above about 4J Studios. It's certainly possible for the game to come out on Wii U (3DS probably not).

I have to agree with you. I wasn't a big fan of what they wanted to put into place, but if they'd stuck with their guns and just released the system then people would have warmed to it. What Microsoft were going to do is exactly what Steam does already and it's where the future of gaming is headed, we're just delaying the inevitable further.
