Quote: EggersI'm actually fine with the other two names, especially after I saw the "5" on the mask/helmet of High Five. However, I do have to take a bit of my own advice: this is a kid's game. I should expect a childish name like Bat Spin. It's made by a child for a child's game, so when I stop to put it into perspective I guess it's not all THAT bad. I can imagine one of the children in my class coming up with a name like Bat Spin.
Yeah but the contest had IN THE RULES that they'd judge creativity and wittyness. There are plenty of people here that could enter the contest that already mentioned funny names, and in a game where puns that make me grind my teeth like Lob-Star are common, there SHOULD be creativity and wittyness. High Five is the only one that even gets close to the requirements in the rules, since Bat Spin goes against 'creative name that has meaning' and Flip Wreck breaks 'write a backstory for your character' on the spot.
Kid's game doesn't mean dumb and lacking creativty. Nintendo isn't as good as it is today talking down to children, and that was one of the things that made SF so bad.
I certainly won't argue any of those points, they are how I've been feeling about the name Bat Spin as well
