Well, we don't have a topic for this yet, but skylanderkids and others broke this news today (see thread below).

I am not a fan of tower defense in general, but this seems stripped down enough to be a lot more about battling and less about Kindgom Rush-level crazy strategy. I think of it like a new arena mode twist.

One thing I would haved loved to see was a special turret for each individual Skylander - that would work well with the collect-them-all mentality we all know and love. I also may lose on purpose (or not maybe on harder modes) to check out the giant villains.

Also, it seems like Giants are almost mandatory for this to unlock the 4th turret. Losing out on 25% of potential power seems like a big disadvantage. It's kind of a blatant hook to get people buying the old figures or possibly getting into the old games if they haven't yet.

Giant chests were pretty useless in Swap Force, so it is nice to have a more integral role here - but it is weird that there is nothing for swappers either. I guess that is one price we pay for having two studios splitting development.

Still, I would gladly trade PvP for this!

I think this mode will be AWESOME! Testing your survival skills with your whole Skylanders army or you could set yourself to limited Skylanders. Image this on Nightmare mode and on the final levels! Wrecking Ball will actually have a challenge!

True - I guess we've only seen one stage. Others could have different turret unlocks. Dual-element turrets would be cool!

Looking forward to this, I enjoy Firefight-type games and was wishing survival in SF went for more rounds. Having 100 is going to be awesome.

Still, they could've had battle arena as well, I don't think I'll be able to get over my disappointment in that. :/

Kaos Ultimate challenge?

It looks like fun! I'm really excited to try it for myself. It seems more interesting than just the solo arena battles. I'd happily trade PvP for Kaos Mode in later games since I never even used PvP anyway.

im more interested in the other mode they havent talked about yet.

They stole it from DI 2.0!!! Just kidding but I've definitely seen similar logic used the other way against DI on here.

Looks cool, I'm glad to see something else to do once the the main story is beaten.

This definitely helps soften the blow of no pvp. But alas, not the same.
