I noticed something during Déjà Vu's showcase video:



If you look at the right of the screen, at 00:06, you will see a regular Life Elemental Gate.
Could they have changed their minds again, or is it just an older version of the game...?

Also, notice that Arbo is standing next to it.
He could be the one that introduces you to them.

After all, I recall Bumble Blast's "Meet the Skylanders" video showing his beehive backpack quite different from what it is in the final version of SWAP Force.

Yeah specially since Phoenix Purch is the earliest level along with Chompy Mountain - just like Sky Schooner Docks back in SSA had pretty early textures in most screenshots or how Rumbletown had a lot changed from videos to the final demo.

No we haven't. Someone tweeted a dev about a screenshot with one and he said it was very early because now it's Traptanium only.

According to most sources, it's just an early type of the level. Idk where I heard it but I'm pretty much sure. Also, since many say its Traptainium only...

I'm confused!

Let's just say that the Elemental Gates are now only for Trap Masters to open. Here are the Trap Masters I intend to use in the game:

Magic - Enigma
Tech - Gearshift or Legendary Jawbreaker
Earth - Wallop
Air - Gusto or Thunderbolt
Fire - Dark Wildfire
Water - Snap Shot, Dark Snap Shot or Lob-Star
Life - Bushwhack or Tuff Luck
Undead - Krypt King, Nitro Krypt King or Short Cut

Article on this forum now confirms Regular Elemental Gates to be back as well!

Doesn't it confirm that SINGLE Elemental Gates are back?

That means there are no dual ones, not that there are also going to be the Regular ones, along those made of Traptanium.

I would not take that article as a confirmation. The article states that single elemental gates are back. That seems to be as opposed to the dual elemental gates in SF, not as opposed to the previously explained traptanium elemental gates. Its quite possible that the author isn't fully aware of the difference between traptanium and regular gates, or simply didn't think to clarify further. (I know the author visits here, so perhaps he can clarify)

Also, even if there are regular elemental gates, it does not mean that the traptanium elemental gates have been removed.

I have no problem with Traptanium Elemental Gates, as long as they don't replace the Regular ones.
