So, after seeing the new game play for the trap masters, my opinion on each trap master has changed. Here is my list.

Engima: Don't like him at all now. Not unique, and seems like he was rushed
Blastermind: Really like his attacks and what he does. One of my favorites
Short Cut: Meh. His attacks are okay, but not too good in my opinion
Lob Star: He looks INCREDIBLE. Love what he does and seems very unique.
Tuff Luck: Really Nice Gameplay and Like The Look.

Enigma... not... unique...? Those words... they can't possibly be used in a sentence together! Anyways, here are my thoughts:
Enigma: Most unique and creative Skylander by far in both design and gameplay.
Blastermind: Seems ok, I like how he uses psychic powers.
Short Cut. Bleh. Doesn't appeal to me.
Lob Star: Really unique! I love his steam attack and never would've thought of a water Skylander that uses steam to attack!
Tuff Luck: Nice fast melee attacks! Just what I like in a skylander!
Thunderbolt: WAY better than Gusto!

Is would like to mention Fist Bump too.

I was actually thinking about him having stalactites/stalagmites related attacks, but the way he can create craters, and then make boulders come out from them is just awesome!

Enigma: Aside from the Eye-Brawl-y eye summon, everything about his gameplay looks creative; while I wish they'd show some of the upgrades, because I couldn't see the point of the plane-walking other than dodging attacks.
Blastermind: Still far from favorite but I do like the charge-based attacks, most skylanders only have those as an extra move or a buff.
Short Cut: CUTS A PORTAL TO THE UNDERWORLD. He doesn't need any other attacks after that. If I have some money to spare by his wave, maybe.
Lob Star: Could think of cooler ways of a lobster hero, but this is a pretty cool twist from the other ninja skylanders. How he didn't boil his insides off with the buff attack is beyond me though.
Tuff Luck: Wasn't interested then, kind of interested now, and between Bushwack and her she's probably the better one; not getting though.
Thunderbolt: Lightning Rod but not extremely creepy AND Warnado but usable? I won't buy, but I sure respect.

Whoooops, sorry, must have skipped the "Trap Master" part of the topic's title. smilie

However, I think Enigma's plane walking has the power to paralize enemies, either as an upgrade, or as a standard move.
You can see some trolls become purple and "petrified".
Don't know if it's the same attack shown at the end, though.

I actually believe they all look epic and have fun game play, but I do admit I do have some minor nitpicks to mention.

Enigma: Wow he really is amazing with his vanishing act and he really does seem cool, but surprisingly doesn't seem that intensely offensive. That doesn't mean he's bad, heck he actually seems to be strategic for a Skylander and not just shooting beams out of his staff, but did kinda wish he was more offensive. We just need to know the numbers he can produce in battle and maybe this won't be an issue to begin with.

Short Cut: Nice just beautiful! I can't get enough how cool he is and surprised he can be cute as well. I only wish he could make scissor blades, but still an epic Trap Master and truly does remind me of Kutaro from Puppeteer. I thought that game was cool and he is just so unique. Also happy I got his catchphrase right and even knew he would have strings for an attack.

Blastermind: He demonstrated how design doesn't make a character unlikable with his super awesome and unique game play. He truly may win the battle of best magic Trap Master now for his battle style alone.

Lob Star: All the problems with Fryno gone with him. Lob Star is beyond any doubt a perfected Fryno character who even made the soul gem have more purpose and doesn't seem flawed at all from what I see.

Tuff Luck: Not really sure how that clover attack helps much, but it is cool. I did wish she didn't just be like Stink Bomb or Trap Shadow when she disappears, but once again seems to have perfected that move a little bit more. While I do hate seeing too many similarities with other Skylanders, it's nice to see that they improve battle styles other characters didn't perform as well.

Thunderbolt: Whoa did this guy shine! He can slash and shoot lightning and create tornadoes. He may have just outclasses Warnado and Lightning Rod. He looks humanoid, but not too much and he does look like fun.

Now just as a recap here's my ranking on game play for each of them:

1. Short Cut
2. Thunderbolt
3. Blastermind
4. Lob Star
5. Enigma
6. Tuff Luck

Did anyone save Enigma's video from the Skylander website? For some reason, that's the only one not working for me. All of the others work fine.

Yeah, same here. I also can't watch Deja Vu's or Echo's videos.

Thanks!

Echo and Deja Vu look unique. Echo is now one of my favorites. Enigma- well, he seems to have the basic gameplay model (weapon swing, special power, weapon swing). Despite that, he looks really cool.

My favorite is Short Cut, but before we saw all this gameplay, my favorite was Gearshift.

Thanks for posting those!

The only thing that bothers me about those is that in each and every one of the ~50 second videos, about 20 seconds was taken up by the exact same villain trapping sequence. I get that they're trying to sell the traps, but that really makes it feel like they're being shoved down our throats.

Heck, i was having alot of doubts on alot of Skylanders, but now, I love most of them. Echo, Enigma, and so on, I am tending to like them all. The only one I'll evoid is Gusto. I just dont feel....anything with that guy.

Ohhh I'm just so disappointed in Short Cut. He just doesn't look fun to play to me, and I'm sad about that 'cause I love his design. Heck, I'm even naming him after Tack, the hero from one of my favourite moves (Thief and The Cobbler).

On the flip side, Blaster Mind's design disappointed me somewhat, but his gameplay looks like a nice challenge. He might end up one of my favourite Trap Masters thanks to the gameplay... Though could wind up underpowered. I don't feel too strongly for him at the moment because I'm afraid he could end up badly-balanced, but if TFB pull him off his gameplay could be incredible.

Then there's Lob Star, my new favourite Trap Master (sorry Wildfire!). Love how his gameplay looks and I like his design a lot.

I like Enigma and Thunderbolt, though I'm not particularly excited for either.

Tuff Luck, I don't give one lick about, in terms of design or gameplay.

They were all good characters

Enigma he's awesome I like his intro his powers are cool since he's kinda a wizard I like how he
Dissappears leaving his cape and slowing down enemies.

Short cut he's a psyco little dude who can pull enemies with a tread and cutting em he also used the rubble rouser thing were he summons helpers but he's nice character for Halloween skylander

Lob star I love how he uses scald for powers his ramming reminds me of a rhino beetle his powers
Are cool like people say he uses stars like stink bomb but lob star is actually holding em stink bomb is not plus his shield is much further then stink bombs.

Blaster mind focuses on mind powers which I never seen a skylander do which is cool he meditates xD
When he floating around

Thunderbolt been better if he did not had swirl as a body well he's a storm cloud trap master who uses storm like powers

Tuff luck she cool her attack look like focused Sherlock she disappears in the small grass looking to see more from her.

Enigma: Looks a little less awesome with legs, but gameplay seems good, the sound effects are awesome!
Short Cut: Can't wait to play this one! Looks like a ton of fun!
Tuff Luck: I didn't really expect much out of her gameplay wise, she doesn't like look that much fun.
Kaboom: Kinda lame.
Wallop: Looks like a ton of fun! Definitely getting him day 1!
Wildfire: He looks fun, but I'll only be getting him to open fire gates.
Gusto: Looks a little better now, still gonna wait until Christmas to get him in the 3ds pack.
Blastermind: Underwhelming, but still cool.
Jawbreaker: I've really wanted this one since he was revealed, I can still say that after the vid too. smilie
Gearshift: Still looks like fun.
Lob Star: LOOKS AMAZING! Can't wait for him!
Snap Shot: Still looks great!
Krypt King: A little generic, but the design is too awesome to not buy.
Head Rush: Looks like fun surprisingly.
Thunderbolt: Looks a lot better than I thought he would be.
Bushwhack: That tree cutting down ability is still amazing.
