They are never forgotten, never left behind. Their soles live on forevermore. May we never forget this day. May we have a moment of silence for those who lost their lives......................................................................................

May they live on, may they be free.

Gonna be watching some 9/11 documentaries today. I actually remember where I was that day, despite only being seven years old.

I was 4 and in preschool when they had us run into the hallway and cover our heads. They had our parents pick us up and when I got to my house I saw smoke in front of my window and the towers missing. My father tells me that when him and my mother were on the roof of the apartment building they were able to feel the floor quake as the second tower fell.

I didn't lose anybody in the attacks.

EDIT: Clarifying that I live in NYC, just in case somebody else thinks I'm a Brit.

I didn't know about terrorists or the context and consequences about it all. I only knew that planes flew into the Twin Towers and they fell. The whole thing was lost on me.

My uncle was in the second tower during the day of the attacks. My family had no idea for about eight hours whether or not her was alive because there was no cell reception in the city because it was being overused. Luckily, he was evacuated out of the building when everyone was notified of the first plan to crash.

I am sorry for those who lost anyone on that day.

Thank you. I don't remember what happened that day, but my mother tells me she and my family were terrified. She thought my grandmother was going to have a heart attack from fear.

I think I was a toddler/baby when this happened, so I have no memories of this whatsoever...
I feel bad for those innocent people who died though. :C
People who did this must be destroyed, nuff said. (Hint)

That must have been terrifying, I feel really bad for 4-year-old you. I get nearly petrified when we have a simple fire drill, if I had been there on 9/11, I would have probably fainted. I'm usually very stressed for some reason, so this would knock me out.

It was two days after my third birthday and I don't recall the day, though my parents do. They were picking me up from daycare or something when they heard the terrible news.

My condolences to the families of the victims. I can't imagine how frightening it was to those who witnessed it in person...

It's weird to think there are people on this site right now who weren't even born at the time. I was like 5. I only have vague memories of talking to kids at school about it the day after.

I was 5 at the time, probably in kindergarten/first grade (can't remember which). I remember being ushered home in the middle of the school day (not knowing why), and then I saw what was going on on the TV. I was shocked and just stunned. Then as time went on I learned about the events of 9/11/01 through history classes. Still a day I'll never forget.

It was my very earliest memory. I just remember the tv being on and seeing the towers smokeing.
