Hi Guys

I was thinking about the re-poses on the poster – only 5 of them, with 3 of the elements apparently not getting a re-pose. Then it struck me. Last time, Activision did specially coloured versions of existing reposes for the three holidays (Halloween, Christmas and Easter). I think this time they might be going to do complete special re-poses for each of these. That would get things back to parity with a re-pose for each element, but would explain why they don't appear (even as question marks) on the poster.

What do you guys think? Are we going to get special holiday re-poses for Undead, Tech and Earth (Obviously the Halloween one would be Undead)?


The other thing is the 4 question marks up in the top right of the poster. I don't think Activision is going to introduce a new Element with only 4 figures. But what if they are going to do figures of 4 of the supporting characters like Flynn and Tessa? They would probably work a bit like a magic item, for instance allowing the skylander to fly to otherwise inaccessible locations.

Is that likely?

A - The topic of reposes and the question mark has been discussed in several other threads. Not really a need to start another one.

B - Holiday versions are not reposes, they are variants.

C - Variants have never been displayed on posters or anything of that nature previously, so there is no reason to think that's the case now.

D - We are know of some legendary, dark, and nitro variants, and yet they are not on the poster. So again, no reason to think the question marks or missing reposes are variants.

E - You got your holidays wrong. Pumpkin eye brawl was from Giants. The holiday version for Swap Force were Christmas (Jolly Bumbleblast), Easter (ST Trigger Happy), and World Cup (Kickoff Countdown)

F - Your thoughts about the question mark characters representing some of the currently non-playable characters is a fairly common thought, although I don't know that anyone's suggested that the figures behave like magic items. If that's the case, I'd be disappointed...obvious money grab. I do not think it's likely. For one thing, it's pure speculation and that's never likely. Second, if the figures behave like magic items, it would then make sense for the other magic items to be listed on the poster...and they are not.

It seems to me that if there is new Elements, there will be two rather than one.

Well, first of all, you kind of need the repose before you can make a holiday variant for it. I don't understand why we're supposedly only getting five reposes either, but they could announce three more, who knows.

I think the question marks on the Skylanders side are for Kaos' element, like they're characters that were once Kaos' minions that have either reformed or betrayed Kaos and are now Skylanders. As for the villains side, they're possibly the harder to find villains in the game, and the two Doom Raiders could be from Nightmare Express and Mirror of Mystery.

But you have missed the main point of the post - that this time instead of doing variants of existing re-poses, they might do brand new special re-poses.
And yes, that's WHY they would not be on the poster!

I'm not sure why I never thought of that... I bet you're absolutely right.

The theory I had in another post is this.

1 Magic Doom Raider to have a boss per all 8 elements.

I see KAOS as an element, as he has a logo. That leaves one more "?." I think the last ? belongs to a second type of element.

That leaves the 6 ? boxes for normal enemies. Three could be for the logo KAOS has, and the other three could be for the other elemental logo we haven't seen.

Just my guess.

Perhaps it's a kaos and a glumshanks element
