I noticed another Villain that wasn't on the poster - The Villain from the "Aroma Avenger" achievement.

Now there's 4 unknown-Element Villains:
The eye Villain (Achievements List)
The yellow-eyed bird (Achievements List)
The Evilkin Villain (Achievements List)
Long-armed Villain (Online Game)

And they posted Blades' backstory, but seemed to have added the Legendary part.

It's worth noting that the trap storage has 8 'question mark' villains on the poster/decal on the upper lid. I assumed the poster images we saw previously where just promotional, and there would be a full version with no unknowns at or before go live. I seriously doubt that now. It seems highly unlikely that TRU would put up a product image that isn't the final product.

Also worth noting that the trap storage isn't specified as a pre-order, indicating that it can be purchased now. I'm not sure if that's a mistake or not. I'm not paying for TRU shipping, and I'm hoping that this is going to be on sale on Day 1, so I'm not going to try and find out.

The legendary NE is also going to be a buy, and is available for pre-order, but I'm not going to pre-order that either. Same reasons as the trap storage, plus I don't want to get it shipped days after go live. There will be plenty in store on day 1, especially if you get there on or near store opening.

Hnng. That backstory just makes me want Blades even more

I asked EB Games yesterday about the Midnight Express adventure pack and they told me that they'll definatly have it, you just can't preorder it. Limited stock I suppose. Activision puts a sort of limit on the stockists.

Interesting. Looks like I can probably get one mold per enemy, per element now. Guess this nixes my idea of getting 40+ traps on day 1. I will wait until all molds for each element are available to get all enemies in their own trap.

I had a feeling there would be more molds we didn't know about.

I would really like to buy more than 1 or 2 different traps per Element, but I'm feeling like having a trap for each villain would make them too similar to Skylanders.

I love the idea of having to choose the right enemy, before starting a level.
It gives a more "strategical" feel to the game, in my opinion.

With these new traps coming out, it seems like I will have to wait and see how many sculpts they made, before buying some.

Consider this: you will always be missing the Platinum Treasure Chest from SF's collection screen anyway and you're likely missing rare variants that also register as Special. I know they don't have extra empty spots before you get them, like Traps do, but unless you plunk all the money for figures that register as Rare/Special you can never truly complete the collection screen anyway (and the amount of variants keeps growing). Besides, think about how much money you'll save by not buying 5 or so extra Traps for every Element.

The Cutlass Trap looks cool though, I'd like one of those as my Air Trap.

i believe 3 new sculpts brings it up to 17 elemental sculpts (excluding kaos).
That is an annoying number, hopefully the number of different sculptures is going to be a multiple of 8 :/

as long you dont get stars(portal master) or are given game stats powerups when you add traps, i will be fine with this. most people will properly end up owning around 15 traps..

It really worth spending a couple hundred extra for all the extra traps for stars though?

not really, if your a completionist it maybe worth it for them. but the worst is not getting all the power ups. so i hope the traps is just gonna be like variants, only show in the collection when you put them on the portal.

I never wanted to "get them all", unless you are talking about original characters.

I'm happy with the first version of each Skylander, if I can afford it.

Just a thought I had and figured I'd share: I'm one of those people who bought the sidekicks from the Giants game, and then ended up with Trigger Snappy from Gamestop and Gill Runt from TRU. I'm annoyed (like others) that I would like one of the new figures like Spry, but then I'll end up with another Mini Jini. The very least they could have done for us was given the repeat minis a different pose from their original figures. At least that would have given some slight aesthetic appeal to the pain I'll feel if I'm stuck buying a repeat I this game.

You could always buy them on the secondary market (I don't like doing that either).

On the back of one of the Triple Pack boxes, it shows characters. Two of those characters shown are Bat Spin and High Five, and they keep those names. So I guess every name won. Yay.

Best Buy now has all the wave 1 characters on their website. They are listed as "Coming Soon" and cannot be pre-ordered yet.
