My opinion is that they're STILL milking the overused characters instead of bringing back characters that deserve more screen-time. They might as well have NO reposes. I think people should start boycotting Skylanders till the forgotten 5 gets more love.

I think people should start understanding that they can buy characters the didn't managed to find on sites like E-bay or Amazon, and let Activision create more fun and original Skylanders, instead of worthless and lazy reposes.

I would gladly argue the point that a S2 of a character is neither worthless nor lazy, considering path switching and a Wow Pow can be very useful and make a character more fun. However, anything after a S2 would most certainly be both lazy AND worthless.

Yeah, that's pretty much the point.

If they want to continue with the reposes idea, then they really should stop making S3 or 4, and start focusing on those characters who only got one release.

Amen to that! smilie I'd love them to finally give the rest of the SSA crew their S2's and let the remainder rest in peace. Though I'm a Spyro fan, so I would be hard pressed to be angry over more Spyros, but I think others with favorite characters would feel the same about theirs too. The only thing I can say for anything beyond a S2 is that sometimes the wow pow of a future one is better than any previous wow pows. I felt that Gill Grunt's last 2 were rather underwhelming. I'm hoping his S4 one will outshine them all. Same thing that I'm hoping with the new Pop Fizz.

You paying about twice the cash for one extra power and slightly easier path switching ?

I can buy two oldies for that and the game will reward me twice as much.

Thats 20 powers and 2 elements , two new game play experiences and if i want to switch paths i click reset.

Yes, some WOW POW might be better than some others, but in that case, simply buy the one you prefer. There is no need to buy 3 versions of a Skylander. smilie
Oh, and, I'm an huge Spyro fan too, and that's why I was so excited to play as him again, in the first game. smilie

If by "paying twice as much" you assume that I would buy the S1 and then the S2, then I can say that it would have to be worth the character in order to pay for the second figure. However, when I started with Giants, I just went straight to buying the S2 of a character instead of it's original. However, if I enjoyed a character enough to want the S2 after I already own it, and there is nothing more to do with them in a game as STT has no level increase, then yes I would justify the extra $10.

However, these Elite reposes are junk anyway since they are just a S1, just a boost in one stat (or so the cards say). I'd rather them take time for a proper S2 than these elite ones.

Umm nope . I assume the S2 is more expensive being new eg. SSA figure being say 5 bucks but the giants S2 figure is 10 . If they are priced equally then go for the S2 .

Yes i agree . If you love a character enough to buy an S1 and S2 version then thats fine too . smilie

What about loving a character enough to get series 1, 2, and 3?

Besides collecting there is really no point of s3. Logically, one move isnt enough new content for $10 when both character paths are permanently accessible with S1 and S2 on hand. A third path would make popular s3s fly off the shelf and justify them.

Less reposes, I am fine with that, but POPFIZZ, GILL GRUNT, AND JET-VAC DO NOT NEED REPOSES. They could've given those slots to more worthy contenders like Ghost Roaster, Boomer, Sunburn, etc.

"Worthy" is subjective. Some people like those three and like those three getting reposed, some people want them to forget the SSA crew and focus on characters from the other games. They're not obligated to repose the Forgotten just because people like them, though it wouldn't be a bad idea on itself.

See I kinda like the idea of less reposes... because honeslty I'm to the point where really series 3 isn't really nessisary.

I mean... S1, 2 paths, choose only 1

S2: Path Switching ability (and not everyone wants to redo the entire figure just to play or try out the other path) and an extra ability.

S3: a New wow pow. (though they could of also had 'special names' and new attires/looks but they messed that up when they gave all S2 the special names as well.)

Then you have series 4... honestly if it's just a new wow pow.. then yeah forget that. But even so I still think it's stupid they only did 1 series 4. I mean it's like "we have a brand new type of skylander.. but we're only doing 1 of it"... I honestly think that's dumb. Why do Series 4 if they're only doing 1? and of them... why Gilgrunt?

So yeah, this year's thumbs up for the fewer reposes.. but thumbs down for the 1 S4. (which I think is still completely dumb and pointless almost)

There's been no proof. No matter how many times I look at that image, I do NOT see the life base. Plus the game isn't released yet so we don't know for sure.

I understand your doubts, since I too tought he was undoubtedly a S2 Ghost Roaster.
But then somebody posted a clear picture of the same character, from a slightly different angle, and it turned out it was actually Dark Food Fight.

If you look carefully you can see a green color shape, on the bottom, and what I thought was the skull, is actually a reflection of the light emitting from the Portal.
The "chain" is created by a weird overlapping of his silver spikes over another unknown character.
You can even see the tomato in his hand.
And the head of Ghost Roaster is just the final part of Food Fight's tomato launcher.

Search the clear image. It will all make sense, after you'll see it.

And, again, if a character (not including variants and Legendaries) isn't on the poster, then it isn't in the new game.
I highly doubt those question marks are the remaining reposes.

I REFUSE to believe the image is Food Fight. Activision NEEDS to make reposes of the forgotten 5 to help those who don't have them finally achieve them, plus it would be a good financial decision for them to do so. The image looked NOTHING like Food Fight, and looked EVERYTHING like Ghost Roaster. I know I'm being stubborn, but it pisses me off so much that they're just letting so many great characters be forgotten while they completely drive their other characters to the ground.

I still see Sunburn in the Adventure Packs as is right now. Dino-Rang isn't even that rare, he was even re-released during Swap Force. Voodood is still around on the market also.

I don't mind. I wasn't going to focus on the reposes anyway, though Gill's new Wow Pow looks sweet. I was mainly just going to focus on the new characters.

Yeah, but Ghost Roaster and Boomer still are, and I think they both should get reposes, especially for those who desperately want them.

I didn't buy any reposes until a couple of months ago, when all the stores started competing on how low they could drop prices. Then I just couldn't resist and picked up almost all the reposes (including Lightcores) for an average of less than £5 each (~$7.50). (Apart from Series 2 Drobot and Lightcore Bumbleblast, which I understand never came to Europe.)

The question for you guys is, do you think there will be a repeat of massive price cuts this time next year, in which case it would make it worthwhile to leave any reposes till then?

Yeah, I've seen Sunburn and Dino-rang around, although I bought the last Dragon's Peak at my local Sam's Club as a present for my sister. On the other hand, I have NEVER seen a GR, Voodood, or Boomer.
