I didn't read over the trivia, but here's one nobody remembers (even though it's clearly visible in the sketch):

Elora was originally a centaur. Her design was changed because a faun was easier to animate and everyone on the team thought she was cuter that way. Her bushy tail stayed in as part of her design because it would help her keep her balance.
