I see these are bar codes. What I don't see is why they are important. Could some one explain?

I didn't "talk down" to him. I stated clearly that 99% of people would have no use for this information. If you don't know what it's about, you have no use for it. It's that simple.

I guess I'm part of the 99%. Best I can guess is that these are barcodes for the individual figures. They could be useful for calling around to see what's in stock at different locations, but it would be more useful if you knew which barcode would go with which figure.

Or perhaps the barcodes can be used to search online, or hack/search a site for information/pics about/of figures that haven't been released yet. If that's the case, then yes, OP would not want to publicly provide those kinda details.

UB works at or owns a toy store if I remember correctly, these are most likely the barcodes for what's being released, most likely through the first two waves, since wave 2 will most likely 'start' to hit before Xmas like last year.

GhostRoaster, it's just pretty typical form. Another "I haz insider infoz and no one else can haz it or what it means" post. It's a call for attention and seeing how many kids he can get to beg him for what it all means. He would have used PMs if it was simply meant for a limited audience. It's about bragging about knowing stuff, and a need to feed his ego that was harmed when people didn't appreciate him to his satisfaction when he gave previous tips. He isn't going to tell people what it means, beyond saying "I knew about this early, see!" after people figure it out on their own no matter how many people ask. If you don't know already, you aren't considered worthy to him (which obviously is 99% of the users here). Best to just shrug, not care and move along.

He works on the admin/accounting side of Walmart, hence the nature of his info and the way he bristles when people suggest they fumbled handling of a release vs. other stores. Not to mention when he brain dumped his life story on here because he was challenged.

You're correct in saying that. It's a bad habit I need to break.

There are 12 numbers in a UPC-A bar code. He is giving us the 7th thru 11th number of the barcode. Skylanders barcode starts with 047875 so this is the first 6 numbers of the barcode. I am not sure how to figure out the last number (the 12th number) usually a number of 1-9.

So if we take one of his numbers from the list like 87214.

You make it 047875872141 (the last number I guessed the number 1)

EDIT: I found a calculator that gives you the last number:

You get UPC-A and look who it is:
