I asked Lou and he said that they will be in the collection menu when you hit pause
just for anyone wondering?

The trap collection "box" that the game comes with, you're meant to put your traps that you're not using in the hole to the corresponding villain.

Yea, I find it interesting that even the Power A box for traps, which presumably was provide info about what they traps were going to be, is actually designed to hold the cutout 'box' from the starter kit. That means one of the following:
A - TFB was late to deciding the exact number/names of villains in the game. So Power A was forced to go this route. B - Activision was worried about a leak. C - Power A went the cheap route. |

cool, so the traps register in game.
did you ask/ did he say whether the game will register the traps as their element, their sculpture or both? (fire trap, torch trap or fire torch trap)

^I seriously doubt the sculpt will be known to the game. Could be wrong...but I doubt it (unless there's a data component on the RFID chip that communicates it).

I vote for all three actually.

RIP GhostRoaster. He's reanimated as TakeYourLemons but occasionally is resurrected from the beyond when needed. |

The game known what sculpt you use when you trap a villain and when you put the trap into the portal to use the trapped villain. So it wouldn't be hard at all to just make a check list of ones you us in the game. |

i figured if the game knows what element the trap is, which it needs as villains are elementally aligned, so it wouldn't be too far a stretch to have the sculpture included in that info. or it could be, i have no technically knowledge whatsoever x.x

The idea is to trap villains in traps and put them in the trap holder with the villain on the picture as is the one trapped. Then, it's up to the person to be sure you keep them in the slot they occupy so you know which one has who. It's a bit dumb, but there isn't much you could do with this idea anyways so it's just better than nothing.

the thread is about keeping track of the physical traps, not the villains in the traps.

Sorry I heard someone say they don't know how to keep track on the villains. Just wanted to make it more clear for anyone who didn't understand what it meant by that. I do see what the question is in this thread though. Guess that new Trap box to hold the trap holder is the best way. Otherwise, anyone else will have to be inventive to keep track on them.

There are two things to keep track of with the traps/villains.
1 - Which traps you own. That sounds like you could manage that online with the collection feature that we've always had for figures, hats, charms, legendary treasures, etc. I don't think the physical box would help you very much since those are labeled by villain, not by the type of trap. 2- What villains you own a trap. That's what the box is for, for sure. However, I don't know if the collection is also going to tell you what villains are on which trap. I'm sure that's possible, but since you can switch that up, and may be too complicated to really deal with. 3- What villains you've defeated and captured. I don't see why this wouldn't be tracked in the collection. |

For me. I wont be using that trap holder box. I feel like it's not needed, all I use it for will just be as a display for Traps I accidently got double and so....
Still, I rather use that collection screen on pause. |

How is the collection screen going to tell you which villains are on which traps? I suppose that would work if you don't use any of the same trap designs.

Well, to me, these Traps and where the villians fit in doesn't realy matter, mainly because you can store villians in the villian vault and I'm pretty sure not every villian is always in the same trap. Design wise, I don't like the Starter Pack traps design wise, so I'll end up buying the other two of that element so yeh. |
melvimbe Yellow Sparx Gems: 1327 |
#17 Posted: 15:07:56 22/08/2014
So you're only going to buy/use one trap per element? If that's case, yes, organization won't be an issue.

Yeah. I can see the trap box usuable for collectors, but for those who see no need in all traps, it's almost useless... (In my opinion) |
