--- Ch. 3 – Tick Tock ---
The Village was amazing! It was in the back corner of the Walmart storage room, with tons of room for growth. The Council Hall was made of dishes from the store put together with hot glue. The rest of the houses were made from the cardboard boxes in the storage room. The ground was made of fake grass with pathways made of Legos. In front of Ares was a huge clearing, the Village Square. All of this was built on top of cardboard boxes so it wouldn’t touch the disgusting floor.
As Ares looked around in amazement, a Drobot and mini Drobot flew over to him.
“Hello, my name is Domech,” said the Drobot. “This is my son, Drobit. I’m the Technology Expert, and my son is going to be just like me.” Domech looked down proudly at his son.
“My name’s Ares. Do you know where my son and friends are?”
“Yes,” said Domech. “My surveillance bots patrol the skies above the Home Village. They spotted your son and friends at the Watchtower.” Domech turned towards a giant tower with a human watch converted into a clock.
“Thank you Domech,” said Ares as he jumped onto his angry bike and rode towards the Watchtower. When he arrived, he saw two Countdowns talking in front of the tower. Ares got off of his bike and walked to the two bombs.
“That little Fryno’s adorable,” said one of the Countdowns.
“That’s my son,” said Ares.
The Countdowns turned their heads towards the Fryno. The one on the left spoke first.
“Hello. My name is Tick Countdown, and this is my brother Tock.” Said the left Countdown. “I’m the Timekeeper of the Home Village. Tock’s an Explosives Engineer.”
“Oh, speaking of being an Explosives Engineer, I’ve gotta go,” worried Tock, looking at the clock on his chest. “I can’t leave Atom alone for too long. See you later brother.” He patted Tick on the back, then ran off into the Village.
“Tock, are my son and-“
“Tick.”
Ares was confused. “What?”
“I’m Tick. My brother’s Tock.”
“Oh. I’m sorry Tick. Anyways, are my son and friends in there?”
“Yeah,” said Tick. “Come on.” Tick turned to the Watchtower and opened the door. Small Fry rode his tricycle out of the door and crashed into his dad.
“Sorry dad,” apologized Small Fry.
“It’s all good son,” said Ares as he stood up and picked up his Small Fry. He held him above his head, ran around, and made airplane sounds. Zeus and Frost walked out of the Watchtower, examining the Village.
“Hey,” said Tick. “You guys should go check out my brother and Atom at our Explosives Factory. You could also check out our Explosives Stash. There’s some very interesting stuff in there.”
“Sounds good,” said Ares. “Come on Small Fry, follow me!” he yelled as he jumped on his angry bike. Small Fry followed his dad on his magma tricycle.
Zeus and Frost looked to Tick.
“Well, we better get going,” said Zeus. “See you later.”
Zeus and Frost started to walk away, but not before Tick stopped them.
“Wait!” he yelled. They turned to look at him.
“Your friend’s compassion for his kid, his kindness to strangers. He’s totally different from Razor. Is he going to try and become King?”
Zeus and Frost looked at each other.
“Um, I don’t think he can be King when there’s already a King,” said Frost, confused.
“You didn’t know. If you beat the King in a fight, you become King. That’s how it works.”
Zeus and Frost looked at each other again. “We better go catch up to Ares and Small Fry,” said Zeus. “Yeah, we better get going,” continued Frost, and with that, they turned and made their way to the Explosives Factory.

Razor sat alone on his throne in the Council Hall. He looked up as the huge double doors opened and closed. Two Chop Chops dragged a Skylander in handcuffs with a sack over his head.
“Who is this?” questioned Razor.
“We found him among the dead bodies of many Skylanders,” said Chop Chop One.
“Was there anyone else alive?” asked Razor as he got off of his throne to examine the prisoner.
“Only two besides this Voodood,” said Chop Chop Two. “A Camo and a Zook. This guy was muttering about some Fryno.”
“A Fryno?” questioned Razor. He took off the bag over the Voodood’s head. “We have a Fryno named Ares. Is that who you’re talking about?”
The prisoner’s head tilted slightly to the side. He slowly looked up to meet the Kings gaze. The Voodood had a scar over his eye.
“Yes.”
