My jaw dropped when I saw which Doctor was in this mini episode. I couldn't believe it.

'The Day of the Doctor' was a really freaking amazing episode.

Nobody else seems to of mentioned the Google Doodle, but I did a second run of the game....I DIED ONCE

I just started watching, started on the 9th doctor and love the show. Even though Tennant has been very good, Christopher is still my favorite.

Anyone have any theories on how the 11th Doctor will die???? Apparently he is on his 13th and final regeneration too.

Any thoughts on the regeneration or the episode Time of the Doctor in general?

the episode was a tad messy but i found the regeneration scene to be much better than ten's.

I was really sad to see Matt Smith go, but I am looking forward to see how Peter Capaldi will portray the Doctor.

No it was the entire time from when he had the regeneration energy come out to when he changed. It was actually longer than any I think... And hey, the classic regenerations were pretty fast paced too. None of that fancy regeneration energy shooting out either.

Oh well, I was never fond of the energy shooting.

Finally got into this. Currently in the 3rd season of the modern series. Trying my hardest to catch up.

I don't think I'll like anybody better than Eccleston. He isn't what I would imagine as the Doctor from an outsider looking in but he fit the role nearly perfectly and managed to be intimidating. Meanwhile Tennant's attempts to be menacing or dramatic just doesn't fit and feels more like a clown trying to be serious.

He really is. I love that though. I was really hoping for him to be Pertwee-like and I'm hoping he's more of an actiony Doctor again. Also crossing my fingers for the return of venusian aikido.

I can imagine it now:

Galifrey is brought back into the correct universe, and there's some scenes on Galifrey before zooming out, showing the full picture of the planet.
The credits begin but are cut short about 5 seconds in, and the picture of Galifrey appears again. The planet spins around and you zoom back in to see the Master standing in the street. Then the credits start.

Terrible idea, but it could be improved.

I'm excited that it's a teacher from Coal Hill School. It'll give reason for the Doctor to go back there more. Maybe we'll get to see Ian Chesterton one more time!!

They already explained that stuff in the series 7 finale.

Any thoughts on the new episode? I feel like it wasn't different enough from the past few seasons in the way the story was told and I feel like it had too many references to previous stories needlessly, but I loved Capaldi as the Doctor. I was really disappointed in how Clara reacted to the Doctor's regeneration because she has arguably met more incarnations of the Doctor than any previous companions. I hope the next few episodes are better.
