Well... It depends.

Krypt King is a really strong melee character, and, from what I have seen, a nice ranged one too, but he's quite slow.

Gusto seems to lack a powerful melee attack (except for the lightning ball, maybe), but his gameplay looks really original, and the ranged attack is truly amazing. He's also fast, for a Skylander of that size!

I would personally buy Krypt King first, even if I like Gusto a lot too, but it's a difficult choice, since they are both two versatile characters.

There doesn't seem enough for day 1 as the other games tend to have almost 15 or even more characters available on day 1.
