As "adorable" as they are, I will not be buying any of them.

So. It seems like we only get double packs of these little guys, per element.

I am disappointed that the Mini Skylanders have the same attacks as their normal sized counterparts. However, I think Drobit is cute. I would like to get him and I'll probably eventually buy the other mini dragons.

Drobit and Trigger Snappy- Missed out on Trigger Snappy, and I absolutely love the look of Drobit! Buy!
Small Fry and Weeruptor- Eruptor is my favorite skylander since day 1, and Small Fry I sorta like. Buy!
Bop and Terrabite- Bop is so adorable, plus Terrafin is my dad's favorite skylander, so he wouldn't mind getting Terrabite. Buy!
Pet Vac and Breeze-Not big on either of them, but they're so freakin' adorable! Buy!
Minijini and Spry- Spry is my second favorite, but I already got Minijini. Ebay?
Whisper Elf and Barkely- I got Barkley last summer, and I don't have Whisper Elf. Ebay.
Hijinx and Eye Small- Habe Eye Small, and I kinda like Hijinx. Ebay?
Thumpling and Gill Runt- Have both of them. Don't Buy.

According to Lou Studdert, they're still working on the marketing of them, so we may see single packs later in the year.

Now that the honeymoon's over...yeah a little disappointed in a way. Don't get me wrong, sidekicks as pets that followed you around? That was useless. Sidekicks as mini versions of characters we already own seems...kinda disappointing. Maybe if they'd mixed them up somehow or did something that didn't feel like a lazy version of "We shrunk everything down". Even one different attack would've sealed the deal, instead we have the S1 versions in chibi.

I'm getting Hex definitely, she was my first in collecting these. Weeruptor and Breeze probably as well, since I have a feeling we're going to see elemental gates for them and both are pretty decent looking figures.

So from what I've seen so far, it looks like activison is releasing the exact same characters with no difference whatsoever besides their appearance, therefore being able to market them as "brand new" figures. Unless I need them to finish the game, I won't be getting any.

It seems likely that there will be 'mini-specific' areas/items in the game. Even so, at least the old ones work and you can avoid life and water altogether if you already have them. Also, minis go for $15-$20 on eBay, so $7 each is still quite a bit cheaper for those that want them.

It seems likely how? Gimmicklanders are the focus as they've said repeatedly and these are not the gimmicklanders for STT.

According to FGTV's new vid, they have their own upgrade paths and according to one of Skylander Dad's vids, the ones from the first two games will work too.

Well... If that's the factor that's supposed to drag me back to Skylanders... Activision didn't made it. Seriously, just because we get a bunch of cute chibis, which works as the continously reposed, old characters, it won't really be a game breaker that would buy me. The style of game will be the same, there's nothing revolutionary made and minis are just another reposes. Not to mention, that they're making a comeback for 8 already released figures. I'll pass.

Well I hope they aren't only released in double packs but if they do I'm getting them all and I will have 2 doubles ( whisper elf and mini jini ) I have always loved the sidekicks and finally they can do something.

Well I'm glad the sidekicks can finally fight and getting minis is way better than another repose for some of these done to death characters.

That's not incorrect. He's not saying singles are a sure thing....just that it COULD happen. I'm still waiting for pigs to fly.

I'll be getting them all, due to collector habits, however I find the Giants minis kinda insulting. They aren't variants of the Giants, from what I've seen of gameplay, they're a downgrade. (No walking on chompies for instant death/ box breaking) Its a minor downgrade, but still a downgrade none the less.

They look to be a bit faster than their Giant counterparts, although I could be wrong.

I feel bad for the people owning the original 8 sidekicks, since now their price will severely go down (the original 8 go for 30-60 dollars each on ebay).
