Outfits could certainly open up the door for online DLC purchases. A color swap code that you can buy for $1 is far easier to get people to purchase than another $10 version of the same figure. Plus now you can do variants for EVERY character, which is vastly cheaper than making the figures themselves.

I can't belive it doesn't work with the first generation iPad Mini. Here's what I'm going to do. Ask for a new iPad Mini for Christmas, then sell my old one for money to get the game.

I believe Sky Dad went to an event in the US ahead of Gamescom. I would assume that if those figures were present at that event, they'll be featured in the videos he runs tomorrow (or possibly the ones he has to hold back for a month)

I see tidal wave gill grunt hex sidekick? Bashy sidekick?

I wonder if with a character customization deep enough, I will be able to fix some Skylanders who changed their looks too much, after upgrading (like Rattle Shake, Pop Thorn and Rubble Rouser).
Or if it will only be available on the new characters...

Hmmm... Skylander Dad seems to be blocking some stuff very specifically in the video. Head Rush horns? Something else? Only real spot where its at all visible.

So im guessing tomorrow well get gameplay of all these and im sure well get a look at the sidekicks

If they made ONE change I would buy the iPad version along with an XBOne version.

DIFFERENT STARTER CHARACTERS.

As it stands it only makes sense to look at it if you get say the Dark version for home and then the regular version for the iPad.

Please someone from Activision wake-up and recognize this, I'm not buying two copies if they have the same character. Give me Wallop and Funnybone or something (not specifically, just saying different characters). They do this with the 3DS, why not here?

So close...I so want to be excited about this, but the wife won't let me get the same game twice with the same figures...

That definitely has a different pose, her weapon is over her shoulder in this picture

no it couldn't be. light cores are in different positions. I'm more excited to see some gam play of bushwhack, sidekick, and sidekick.

I generally thought it would be a different pose too, but the hair looks seriously like it completely lights up in the newer video, compared to before. I guess they could have changed her design before release ? Just looked different.

The first one is, most likely, a prototype.

I'm really disappointed in this today. all that happened was we got the news about tablets. and that just made my day, because i was here waiting all night long. FOR A LAME TABLET PRESENTATION!!! The only thing good we saw was that picture with bushwhack and stuff, and yet we didn't get any new characters, villains, or reposes, or even SIDEKICKS. Hopefully tomorrow is better, but i can't take tomorrow of

Interesting. I'd be fine with there being two Torch figures, but it could just be that one is the finalized design too.

^ Ours, neither... It doesn't change my feelings of much whatsoever now. It's cool to seem them do this, but personally, not interested in it now. I'm not getting a new tablet anytime soon.

Agreed, though I suspect "outfits" will just be a micro transaction feature on mobile devices as opposed to something that'll be available on all platforms.

i might be getting my dad's ipad 3 sometime. he wants an ipad air.

Generation 3 iPad is the earliest one you can get, they said that it would be comparable to the Wii version whereas newer iPad's would be more like the PS3/360 version.

I wonder what the battery life is going to be on the tablet. Something that graphics intensive is going to heavily use the CPU and bluetooth is going to drain the battery as well. It looks nice though but I'll be sticking to the console version.

If they wanted more people to jump on the tablet they should have changed out the characters and maybe even have a wave 3 character first in that pack ala Ignitor in the SSA 3DS pack.

Edit: UK does use DST, was thinking of somewhere else.

So I am assuming that the tablet starter pack does not have 2 player mode as well as no PVP mode. Yet it's the same price as a console version.
