Anyway, Heavy Iron Studios (the people who made the first movie's game, as well as BFBB) might be making this game.

It looks pretty good, though I hope not all of the movie is done in CGI/live action.

It's expected for writers and producers to step up their game when they're making a movie. Much bigger budget, so executives and fans won't accept a simple TV episode.

Wow feels like they kinda spoiled a lot of it.
Eh, didn't seem that funny, other than Patrick's levitation build up and let down, but I'll stay optimistic, never judge by trailer alone after all.

It sure does beat a lot of the past few episodes we've had. It seems to be better than I thought it was going to be, the humour was good and almost close-ish to S1-3 imo. Of course I can only really have a valid opinion on the whole movie when it's out and stuff, it could end up being horrible and my opinion right now could change entirely. But I honestly liked this trailer.

And I think they're surviving out of the water because they're on the beach, near the ocean. The same happened for the first movie :S

chances are they probably won't address it or care to address it. We did have that episode where SpongeBob goes into Sandy's treedome for the first time, but there was also the episode where Sandy dared spongebob and the others to go on dry land and they were just fine.

...Okay, the first movie was good, I liked it as I grew up watching Spongebob, but after the first movie, in true fashion with many long running shows such as The Simpsons for example, the show began to go downhill, it just was more nonsense and not as much funny if that makes any sense. This honestly isn't needed, at least not as a CGI movie, it just doesn't look good, if it were animated I think it would be good, so many things could be done if they were still cartoons, but I just don't like the transition.

Also this movie kind of contradicts the first movie as they need water to survive out of water, they nearly died in the first movie because of it, but now they don't need water?

It also seems more like a special, it doesn't really have that 'movie' feel

Honestly, from the trailer, I think this actually looks really promising. The 2D animation is on par with, if not better than the first movie and it seems like the characters have their old personalities again. The CGI also doesn't look as bad as I thought it would.
