Anyways... while I hate stuff like this, as they just come across as big "LOOK AT ME!" type posts. *IF* its news to be soon, that likely implies there will be a reveal at Gamescom in Germany this coming week.

I can back up the argument here. Only the source currently knows. I find it interesting that some event in Germany is a big source for news, as you would think Activision would keep most of it's reveals domestic territory.

Well, yes. Yes news is incoming. Gamescom is next week. And if previous years are anything to go by, we might get every character revealed.

I know it's big. I just find it a bit weird that they pick Germany as the place to reveal the big stuff.

Call me crazy but I hope not. I hope for most of them to be revealed. But not all of them. I still need stuff to speculate and hype on for my videos. What I want to know is the functionality of Sidekicks, and Wave 1. The specific characters I want them to show off are the leaked characters, as well as confirm how many Adventure Packs there are and what this Kaos Mode is all about.

Yeah I agree at least tell us about the sidekicks. I want them to reveal the figure for head rush.

And show us the villain vault and the special villain areas

I'm sure it will be. Skylandersdad in that video said it will blow your minds, but I'll be the judge of that and I hope he's right about it.

It's a bit of both!

Well, whatever it is, I'm sure it'll be welcome information. The last Gamescom I actually paid attention to they announced inFamous Festival of Blood, which turned out to be pretty fun.

Acti/Blizzard has set big reveals next week for their games with gamecon. Skylanders and World of Warcraft. So next week should be interesting and to those that say its in germany... well ya it is but it's also one of the biggest gaming shows that has world attention so it def is watched worldwide.

Good times!

News I'd like to hear:

- Added role/features of sidekicks
- New sidekicks
- The remaining 6 Eon's Elite
- TRU legendary figures and other in game variants
- Kaos gameplay
- jump attack gameplay for older characters
- Boosting max level from 20 to 25 (I know, they've already said no to this, but it's an easy change)
- Heroics or something of that nature
- Villains will be playable in Skylanders 5.
- 2 player mode has better player movement
- 2 additional adventure packs
- Patching for those on consoles that allow that.
- Explain what villain mode and kaos mode means
- Give a new type of collectible, that's more interesting that treasure chests, soul gems, hats, and legendary treasures.

What I'm kinda blah on:
- The remaining characters
- Wave release information
- What the villain vault looks like
- Provide list of chapters


News that would be a dream (not in order):
- Online play
- Establish a fan club of sorts. For online consoles, Activison tracks the number of figures and time spent on the game, and in return, provides exclusive news and freebies to high end users.
- More then 2 player
- New skill tress for older characters
- Provide an online map mode, giving location of collectibles
- Next frito lay contest will be for a sculpt variant, with the number of winners tripled or more (since cost is lower)
- Toy vehicles figures playable in game with skylanders (Not really sure I like this)
- Meaningful context for giants and swappers (beyond a treasure chest here and there)
- DLC ( not through adventure packs, etc, but true DLC that adds additional features etc)
- Modifying the portal with more then 1 trap slot
- Customizing feature. You can change the color(s) and skills of your skylander.
- Allow flying characters to fly more then a few feet off the ground.
- Activision is making a karting/shooter/ non-dungeon crawler game for Skylanders.
- Activision is licensing skylanders for a cartoon series or minor movie.
- Activision is partnering with DC Comics and/or other popular franchise to make another/separate toys to life game.
- Activision/Blizzard is to doing a toys to life game geared towards adults

What I don't want to hear (And I don't think would happen):
- Game will utilize the console's motion sensor device
- Disney has asked Activision to make DI 3.0
- Disney has bought the Skylander franchise from Activision
- Some of the older characters will be retiring
- Activision is re-releasing chase variants, thus lowering the value of existing chase variants
- All figures will be released before Christmas
- There will be a toybox mode (not that this is really bad, just shows that Activision has decide to just follow DI)

His source is Skylanders Boy And Girl...

All I can say is I hope Trap Team is full featured like Swap Force was. Seriously, SF has so much to do and collect in it, it added - at least for me - to the longevity of the game.

I am personally addicted to beating peoples' times and scores on SF. I want Score Mode, Time Attack Mode and Bonus/Survival Missions to make a return.

However, I keep having this feeling Trap Team won't be as full featured as Swap Force was. It's bad enough there are no Swap Zones in it, which added to the diversity of Swap Force.

I just want SF to have a lot to do in it, like SF did. Over 480 stars to collect, and I am still to this moment trying to get every star in the game, despite being 100%.

EDIT: Oh, and accolades. Part of the fun of SF has been trying to get each and every accolade.

^ Agreed GM. SF had a lot of positives that added to longevity, although still a bit repetitious. The bonus missions are great, a lot better than the previously designed heroics, and the additional swap force zones and scoring modes are great.

Just as equally annoying is all of the drooling over the stupid figures. There's room in this franchise for everything they have now plus some form of online to make PvP more interesting ... this could also make other modes of the game more competitive if they design it correctly. The online in of itself isn't the problem, it's the players. 100% of the benefit of Roblox is online, and that's equally its downfall, because they also support text. Done talking about it, just laying down the hammer until I get a few features the legacy skyfans want.
