I almost died just now... [CLOSED]

I was driving along with cornstalks on each side of the road, and the road was very narrow. All of a sudden a large deer jumped out right in front of me, but luckily it took off out of the way in time... Man... If I would have been just a second earlier, I would have hit that thing for sure and totaled my car, let alone killing me...

Oh my, that must have been a very mortifying experience. Well luckily there was no harm done and you managed to come out of the situation in good health. There is noticable number of comparable situtations here with elk and the damage they can cause in highways can be certainly very nasty. But it's certainly a good thing you're ok.

It sucks that this happened to you, and don't get me wrong, I understand that it can cause trauma and I totally sympathize, but it is pretty unlikely that you would have died. Like, slightly-over-a-ten-thousandth-of-a-percent unlikely. Injured maybe, but apparently super not likely to die.

I hope it makes you feel better knowing you probably wouldn't have died if you had hit it.
