Let's say you go to the Skylander Isle and upon reaching the isle some parents with their kid arrives. There is a Boomer on the shelf, both you and the parents along with their kid want it.

Do you let the kid have it? Or do you buy it considering the fact it is BOOMER for crying out loud

P.S. There is no right answer, it is just a hypothetical question and this didn't happen at least to me.

I buy it. The kid is a ploy from the scalper parents! This question all depends on each person and their feelings towards being nice or a jerk. If i have it I will let the kid have it if I don't have it I will buy it as long as it's in my hands.

Whats the chances of that ? First person to reach Boomer and take it off the shelf gets it . You got there first even if the child starts crying or something its well too late and vice versa . Few parents will actually beg you on behalf of their kid to be nice and let him have it . Better luck next time sport .

Also have to consider a kiddy will not appreciate or even take good care of boomer because he is a kiddy . Boomers lifespan will be cut short . Us AYE DOLTS can play gently and store him properly and appreciate him.

On the other hand if you buy Boomer for no reason other than to keep him MOC for resale at a later date then i think the kid should have him and enjoy him .

Ehhh.. That would be a toughie, since it's just Boomer. I'd probably be the nice guy and give it to the kid.

But if it was a chase variant, forget it. I'm grabbing it and sprinting to checkout.

I already have Boomer so I'd let the kid have it. If I didn't have him and I got it and the kid wasn't phased though I'd keep it. However if the kid started crying I'd give it too him instantly. I personnally even feel bad if I take the last of a character. Like when wave 2 came out and i grabbedthe last full set of everything I felt bad because I knew that the next people looking for it wouldn't be able to get it for themselves.

in this case i must always go back to the stiff arm. it is very effective when going against a smaller opponent. snatch that boomer and whatever else you can.

I've given up stuff for kids before, it is just a toy after all. I did it with Polar Whirlwind when I first got Giants last summer, and I did it again a few months ago with a regular Magna Charge. Both times, there was a little boy with his parents and they were looking for that particular character. Both times, I had the only one available in my hands and both times I gave it to a very grateful and happy child.

I already have Boomer, so it would go to the kid for sure.

However, even if I didn't have Boomer, and wanted him, I still would let the kid have it. Why? To me, this Boomer would just be a box checked on my wishlist, and another character in a video game I probably wouldn't be using all that much. To the kid, this Boomer could be a legendary hero. He might go on all sorts of adventures outside of Skylands. And even if he didn't, it would still mean way more to the kid than it would to me, and thus the kid should have it.

Amen to that whole post, but especially that bolded part! I bring my Skylanders into school and let the kids in my class play with them during recess. Those kids love getting this figures and just playing with them like any other toy. If I didn't do that with them, they'd sit on my shelf collecting dust once they were fully leveled, especially now since I hated Swap Force and haven't touched the game since around March or so.

I would just give it to the kid. He's just a kid after all. He needs it more than I do.

I feel the topic question is more about a figure that you really want, than Boomer specifically. I wouldn't want a second Boomer, but the question is still interesting to ask oneself.

Exactly the same mindset as I have. Though I do, very rarely, play with the actual figures or make up short imaginary stories about them too. Not as much as I would if I was a kid, but still, I'm more about the figures and their personalities than the games.

Besides, if I desperately wanted a specific figure (as long as it's not one of the impossibly rare ones, but I'm not interested in any of those), I could try shopping around online, which I doubt the kid would be able to. Might be more expensive, but rather I spend more money than a kid or their parents.

You said it perfectly. But on the other hand 10% of my mind saying to take it because a 3-6 year old at toys r us took all the wave 2 characters right from my cart and his parents didn't even look or say anything they paid for the characters and left but I guess that's just 1 mean kid out of 99% of them

No didn't say anything because 1 his father must be going to the gym daily because he's really built and 2nd because these people where so slick I didn't even notice them I had the cart right beside me and my hand on it and was trying to look for legendary grim creeper once I found him the kid and his parents have just finished paying for the characters and are walking out. Man I didn't even here there footsteps and pretty much no one else was in the toys r us. So after I go in my car and guess what the kid and his parents car come right up to me and the kid smiles and they speed away now what am I going to go do? So that's the end of that story.
