It helps you know which villians are in which crystal because you can put it into the villian slot and know which crystal there in

E.g. Put the life hammer trap into the chompy mages slot on the holder so you dont get confused which one hes in

Theres also six Villians for each element if you count them

I can see regular Shield Shredder above the Chompy, but no Riot. I think because Riot and Outlaw are variants, they wouldn't be put here. The kids would feel like they are necessary.

Because of the picture not being available I'm going to extend a caution warning. If you don't want a copyright strike don't risk making a video. This is pretty big considering everything else we've found out from the San Diego Comic Con so just be careful.

Above Threatpack you can clearly make out the Bird villain Slylanders Dad was calling Cross Crow.

I think there is a villian called Pad Lock on the box

Being able to capture and play as a chompy pretty much confirms my theory that around 80% of the trappable villains are likely to be general trash mob type characters with likely only about 16 or so baddies actually being boss types.

And I fully expect this chompy boss to go down in one hit like the rest....unless he's eaten his Wheaties.

I don't think it confirms your theory at all. It supports your theory, sure. I doubt that the chompy will be extremely weak. That would not sell very many trap sculpts if that's the case. People would want to play as a chompy, and maybe will have a standard troll and cyclops too, but I don't think those will be extremely weak either.

As well, if 80% of the baddies are mob type, that would mean they've been hiding them up till now. They've basically told us all the good ones so far, and left the trash for last, which would be horrible for marketing. Despite what folks think of Activision marketing, that would be beyond them I think.

Oh I'm sure the version of the villain we get will be above the weakest. Using MMO type lexicon, it'd be a lieutenant or commander type of the trash mob. My concern is more that most the trappable are generics with no real personality. We have characters like Chompy Mage, Gulper, or Wolfgang. They are clearly more rounded characters and likely things like level bosses. We see one of them and thats it. They are unique. The rest will be just more powered mob types with no real background or personality. Things like Buzzer Beak, Grinnade, Shield Shredder, etc. That we've seen multiple types of on screen. And yes, I honestly think thats why we havent see a lot of the villains.

I agree...between 30+ new skylanders and 40+ villains they are spreading themselves too thin on the creative side. Personally I would've been innovating on the game side instead of dreaming of new toys to sell us. I would've been peachy pink with 32 new skylanders and 16 mega villains to capture. or even a 16 / 16 mix...if there were all MEGA battles.

If there is no variant Villains on the box where can you put their traps e.g outlaw brawl and chain

But also if you get the water log trap he is in and you put it in the portal can you then use that trap to capture other water Villains and put outlaw brawl and chain in the villain vault and then you wont have to buy another water log trap same with riot shield shredder you don't need to buy another life torch trap but if people do and then he's released in stores you will then have two life torch traps

I'm convinced that you cannot transfer villains from a trap/sculpt to a vault, just my opinion though. You don't really need to buy any of the traps, but I would guess that if you're trying to capture them all, you'll want to have the regular and variant brawl and chain.

You probably can transfer them to the vault because it is pretty much similar to capturing any other villian.

e.g You capture chill bill in a water trap and you switch him for another villian you probably will be able to do the same with the traps with variants in because you then wont need to buy another trap so if you want to capture another water villian in a trap with brawl and chain in you can then switch outlaw brawl and chain for lets say chill bill and he will then go to the vault
