Is there anything you're gonna do when you get Trap Team that you didn't do with previous games?

Mine are:
-I'm not gonna buy anymore reposes, unless there'll be a S2 Sunburn.

-I'm not gonna buy the 3DS versions anymore. They've all been a bit boring imo and they've been too similar to each other with not much replay value.

-The only cores I will buy are dragons.

-I'm basically just gonna buy the least number of Skylanders as possible. The reason I wasn't so keen on Swap Force was because of the number of gimmicklanders I needed to buy to fully complete the game. At least with Trap Team, I could just get away with having Snap Shot and any Skylanders I already have to finish the game, so I'll just buy High Five, Blades and a few traps.

-I'm not gonna pre-order the game or buy it on release day like I did with the other three. There's other stuff that I'm saving my money for later this year, so I think I'll get the game for my birthday or Christmas instead.

The only thing for me is NO variants (Red Jet Vac for example) except ones I want and the Dark starter Pack.

for me I bought skylanders I like and then I will buy skylanders that I like less ..

and I love dragons!

If I was to get this, no 3DS starter, as the game would not be worth it, and there is no variant to convince me to buy it anyway. \

Also, no variants, unless they are necessary for completion, like Jolly Bumble Blast, or Kickoff Countdown.

Just like Swap Force, I want to get all the swappers. But apparently I was just buying cores while I'm at it. I find them to be useless sometimes. (But Roller Brawl is very effective for speed runs!). I also get the adventure packs.

Now for Trap Team, I'm only going to focus on the trap masters and NEVER on the cores. Alongside my collection of the trap masters, I'll also go for enough traps to get all the villains. With one catch: I don't want two traps of the same model and element so that I don't clearly identify what's inside. I'll also get the adventure packs and variants if I can. But variants serve as bonuses for the other upgrade path.

I might buy my first (intentional*) Series+ figure - Fizzy Frenzy Pop Fizz
He just looks so great, and actually looks like a different character. I'll keep my S1 Pop Fizz on the potion path, and give Fizzy Frenzy the beast path.

*: My S2 Zap was a complete surprise included in a collection of figures I bought

I want to only buy characters that I really like.

This year I'm not buying reposes unless they are Wrecking Ball and my favourites. I'll be getting all Trap Masters, Cores and enough traps to capture every villain.

I'm not getting any reposes. Traps cost too much to bother with the repose nonsence again.

As few as I can otherwise. Ugh stop giving us cool characters Acti.

Instead of trying to complete my collection of gimmick-landers, I'm just gonna start buying the ones I want. 16 gimmick-landers for swap force was understandable, but now it's kind of overkill.

All cores, All Trap Masters, a few variants, a bunch of traps, I barely ever get reposes but I will get a few this time.

I'm only going to get one or two trap(s) of each Element.

Well....I might not get the dark starter, unlike last year, unless the Kaos Trap is exclusive to it.

I'll be going for all the characters (besides reposes*), though I'll go for the my favorites first, least favorites last.

I'll try to get all the adventure packs.

*I will be getting Fizzy Frenzy, S2 Gill Grunt (because of the triple pack he comes in[unless Chopper and Funny bone are released in singles wave one]), S3 Jet-Vac (pretty sure the red one isn't a variant), and any others that look cool enough and have a good enough wow-pow (like Thorn Horn Camo or Horn Blast Whirlwind).

EDIT: Oh, and I will be getting nine traps (after the starter pack), one from each element (I don't like the Water Tiki or Life Hammer) and the Kaos Trap.

Just series 2, trap masters, cores and traps for me. Maybe some other reposes depending on who else gets reposed if they are better than older ones.

Not really doing anything different, i plan on getting the whole kit and caboodle again. i've enjoyed the last 3 games too much to do anything different.
The only thing thats "different" is the addition of traps, of which i plan on getting one of each of the different sculptures, and possibly getting them over their different elements, depends on how they put them out, if they're in waves or just all dumped at the start, and if the traps register in game as "Water Trap" or Water Tiki Trap".

I'll just grab the reposes if their Wow Pow! is good. And I'll be having all Trap Masters, Cores and all Traps (no variants)

I will buy a trap master of each element, have one core of each element and a trap of each element. No reposes and only new characters.

All the new Cores, all the Trap Masters and the new Adventure Packs.
Just like every year.

Whoops! Forgot the traps! At least one trap for each Element. I'm still not sure about the trapping/changing villain mechanic. We'll see...

I don't even think i will buy this game, Skylanders just became old and boring for me or i'm just getting to old for it, but when the starterpack has a pricedrop i will get it for my new Wii U.

I won't buy any new Skylanders immediately (save for those coming with the starter pack). They always go down in price just a few months later, and I can't keep up with the incredible amount of new figures all the time.

People still expect series 2 Giants?

I'm not sure if I'll buy the game straight away this year. I think I'll wait and see if there's any offers after the game has been out for a few weeks. As usual I will only buy the Skylanders that I want.

By people you mean TTD. He didn't say he expects Series 2 Giants he said he won't get any reposes unless there's a Series 2 Tree Rex or Ghost Roaster. That doesn't mean he expects either to happen.

To add on to my previous post, I will try to buy most of my figurines online from Amazon. Taxes are a big part of what I have to save for, and it is a hassle.

I'm going to buy the starter pack Krypt King one of every element traps including the life hammer and water tiki in wave 1+ the Kaos trap in every wave.

I think I'm gonna cut out basically everything. Skylanders has unfortunately been a money drain to me (i've been keeping track of all my purchases this year..oof) and even though I love the series, I think the best thing to do is to cut out all the unnecessary stuff, which thankfully this time around means basically everything except other elemental traps.

Likely, I'll still pick up characters I want on sales and stuff. I'm not gonna pay full price for a single figure if I can help it because by this time next year there will be just as many sales on the figures.

Probably the only thing I'll get when they come out are store exclusive variants and the adventure packs, although even those will likely be on sale later on. No rush= more money saved.

I'm thinking of hopping out of the 3DS version as well, especially if Gusto and Barkley are sold separately which I assume they will. And if not, no real big deal. I have Barkley already anyways and I'll just get the other Air Trap Master if I really want it. I'll probably get the 3DS version maybe sometime down the road if I can score it for like $20 again.

If any new Skylander figures based on the last ones (for example S2 Flashwing), I would have the option of keeping or selling LC figures. I basically would keep the LC variants as cool as Enchanted Star Strike and Legendary Grim Creeper. They share the same powers and abilities with their original counterparts, but differ in color schemes. I'd keep the SF game disc, but sell the Swap Force portal while buying the Traptanium Portal as long as it is backwards compatible will all three previous games (which I believe it will be). I will sell the figures that I don't want to play anymore while keeping the ones I cherish most. (I'd sell Wash Buckler and Blast Zone while keeping Stink Bomb and Spy Rise).

However I choose to build up my own team of Skylanders, I must decide wisely and with gusto. Not all of my favorite Skylanders have to be strong though, but all of them can be fun to play with.

I never bought any of the reposes anyway, but my goal is to try and not use money cheats this year and fully enjoy the game. Also to get no duplicates of traps so it's easier to tell who is in what trap.
