CM Punk in ROH is amazing. Him and Kevin Steen in the ring together. <3 But CM Punk being in WWE is small and he hates TNA. The only chance of him coming back in the ring is if WWE signs him with a million dollar contract or John Cena him with. But what do I know, I have a vagina.

I'd personally rather he come back to WWE in a year or two. Call me stubborn, but I only really watch WWE. I've tried to watch TNA more than once and couldn't get into it, and not only can I not get ROH on TV, but I don't find it to be worth the effort to see it online legally.

That being said, he should take plenty of time off.

He was beat up and tired. And it's rather clear that the months he's taken off has done him wonders when you compare how he looked before to how he looks now.

On that note, there are rumors that WWE is now considering suing Punk for breach of contract. I'd take it with a grain of salt though, as WWE has mostly ignored anything involving him, with the lone exception being that one Chicago show.

Oh, the professional wrestling, the sport of the gods! There is nothing wrong with grown-up, sweaty, oiled and half-naked men pretending to have real life fights inside the squared circle.

But now when the jokes are set aside, as a professional wrestling fan since 2002, I must address at least something about this unique form of entertainment. Well, here is my main philosophy and attitude towards professional wrestling, or show wrestling which is a term that is used in my geographical location. I think that modern pro wrestling is a nice hybrid of theatre and sports. There are multiple different characters and storylines those characters portray and execute. Of course because of its acted nature it hasn’t been taken so seriously all around the world.

Professional wrestling has its most definite roots in early real catch-as-catch-can wrestling competitions. Back at the days there was no scripted material and technical prowess defined the rightful world champion. And this is a thing that I truly enjoy and should be in appearance in every character etc. Modern Northern American approach to professional wrestling is too invested in the idea of being a circus, a theater show and the roots to the original competition-based world have been forgotten too visibly.

This competition angle, I’m talking about means that the main focus of every character should be in final destination of becoming the world heavyweight champion. The main goal is to be the best professional wrestler alive today. And this aspect has been forgotten too visibly. It seems that WWE today handles its WWE World Heavyweight Championship as a token for a guy who should be the face of the company but in reality WWE should promote that title as a symbol that can only be possessed by the pro wrestler individual who truly is the one who has mastered his craft to that certain limited extent that there are no equal i.e. the best professional wrestler alive today.

That is the reason why I have always loved characters such as Kurt Angle, Eddie Guerrero, Brock Lesnar, Chris Benoit, Edge, John Cena, Shawn Michaels, Daniel Bryan, CM Punk and etc. They are REALISTIC characters who have had the life-long dream to succeed. Even though modern professional wrestling is not 100 % pure competitive combat sports, those stories of athletes who evolve throughout their careers and reach their peak and are dominant, really make this feel true even though it isn’t.

That was a somewhat a semi-long rant but I most probably will keep my voice heard in wrestling topics when I have the right feeling.
