Very unlikely.

No probably not because that was for swapers but you can still probobably get in an elemental gate with only half of a swaper

It's speculation. Doubtful...but no harm no foul if folks want to talk about it.

If they were in the game, as well as giving players an excuse to use their swappers, I could imagine them being able to open by using a Skylander of one of the elements while having a trapped villain of the other element on your portal.

I don't see why they couldn't include them. Even if you skipped SF, you could still do it in Co-Op.

Yes, there is no reason, they can't have dual element gates in TT, the same as there is no reason they couldn't have feats of strength in SF.

They have said that they want the special areas to focus on the new figures, and they've said that that is what the fans want.

Personally, I think they would be better off including stuff for the older gimmick landers. There are surely plenty of new fans out there that would buy up old figures just to for the extra few seconds of original content.

The difference is that dual elemental gates was just a spin on the regular elemental gates and didn't explicitly require Swap Force while SWAP Zones were exclusively for the Swappers as Feats of Strength were exclusively for the Giants.

Yes, but the point was to emphasis mix and matching the swappers. Since that is a priority anymore, they don't need to include them. It's all speculation at this point, and we can all come up with our own reasons, which won't amount to a hill of beans.
