I meant, what did he DO with his gained abilities?

He basically took control of Titans/Mutants to solve puzzles and defeat other Titans/Mutants.
For example, jacking a Titan could let Crash use it's long range attacks to shoot far-off targets.
And in CoT there's a system called the Food Chain, where you use weaker Titans to defeat strong Titans that Crash can't beat alone.

Just your everyday cameo. They were being developed by the same companies at the time, so it's not too surprising.

Does anyone think that this idea might be a good way to start a new crash game?

Warped was my first game (and one of my first ever video games) and I have every official Crash game (excluding Phone games and those McDonald games from 2004). Hidden Crash dance starting at 0:20!

Aw yes. I like him. I have most of the PS1 games (except the first) and two PS2 ones, most of which I inherited from my Grandma before she picked up on knitting socks. (And my sister bought a Game Boy Advanced game that has Crash Huge Adventure and Spyro Season of Ice on it back when I was about 6.) I've also been thinking about trying to find Twinsanity because I always thought that one looked interesting, after seeing the trailer for it on Spyro a Hero's Tail. Mind of Mutant and that other one about controlling animals looks kinda bland to me for some reason.... But if you just only played as one of the mutants I could see myself liking it better. (I mean no Crash in the story line.) Overall Crash Team Racing is my favorite!

There's a lot of weird stuff going on with rumors about a new Crash game... too many suspicions and "leaks" and corrections about why those leaks weren't true. I really hope this means that they're planning something new with Crash and are just trying to avoid leaks so the reveal is a surprise. That would be awesome

but then again, I'm skeptical this will actually happen.

Well they said that they were being rebuilt "from the ground up" and the release year is 2017.

And I'm pretty sure these are new art assets.

Also Vicarious Visions is developing the new Skylanders, and they have a lot of experience with Crash, and even claimed to have some of the original design documents for Crash. So my money is on them making the remakes (and they are the best choice IMO).
