I was going to download Game & Wario for my Platinum reward from Club Nintendo. Can I turn off my Wii U or do I have to leave it on?

I do believe you have to leave it on.

Wait a minute I thought I heard somewhere the power led light turns orange/yellow when something is downloading...hmm... I am confused!

Is there a reason you have to turn it off?

no not really. but kind of. I wanted to mayby just let it download when I was sleeping, but I dont want it on all night.

It needs to stay on. In the download management, you can tell it to turn off when the download is complete.

It'll only download updates when turned off.

I havent started the download yet because I cant find the option to shut off after the download is finished.

Can't you just leave it on? It doesn't take that long, does it? I'm pretty sure you can switch over and watch TV while you wait.

But, I want it to run it during the night. And when I download Wind Waker HD from the free game with Mario Kart 8, it took a very long time. And I think Game & Wario takes up more space, so it might take longer. I just wish I knew where that option was.

Its downloaded. I started the download, then paused it, turned off, and the system downloaded it while it was off. pretty cool!
