I went with Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D. If you were eligible, what did you get?

Apparently, because Nintendo seems to be cutting their budget on Club Nintendo.

Why couldn't it be a retail game instead?

No, spending $500 gets you $500 worth of games with monthly free game downloads and a special reward, being one more free game download. It's a good value to me. If you bought $500 worth of games on any other platform, you would get no such bonuses.

Dang it, I wish I would've gotten Platinum this year so I could have played Earthbound.

Well, guess i'll get Super Mario Bros, it's the only one of the 3 NES Mario's that I don't have.

Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D and Game & Wario are both retail games.

But the other platinums are pretty cheap.

I wanna play Earthbound so bad but I'm only a gold. Not really interested in the gold games. It feels like a waste because out of my options I wouldn't play any of them very often.

FREE EARTHBOUND SO MUCH YES. Of course, seeing as I just got my Wii U, I find this gift decent. I can understand how those who've had the Wii U for awhile would be pretty disappointed, especially when Japan gets an adorable Yoshi plush and Super Mario tape. I sure hope playing Mother 3 first doesn't screw up the Earthbound experience for me. <.<;

If you were gold then you still get a reward. They reset everyone, it's a new Club Nintendo year.

Yeah, I'd much prefer tape to a free game.

It's still exclusive, you can get these games for less than ten dollars on the EShop. Those 2 prizes are still fairly lame compared to the last few years' prizes (Doc Louis' Punch Out, LOZ:Majora's Mask soundtrack, Mario Pins, and the huge Mario trophy), but they are still something cool.

At last we don't have to wait till Christmas to get our prizes.
