I never really did it. I've always been worried it will corrupt my game and while I did try it, I felt like it just made the game a pointless grind.

I figured they would wait for undead until October, but I could be wrong. As for time travel, it wouldn't work, anyway. It wouldn't be programmed into the game, yet.

It might be undead since they just did the quest lines to input Legendary Night Shift and Night Shift and last month they did quests for Doom Stone and Rubble Rouser and this month was earth month when they did the scratch quest the next month was air and so forth. So if they keep this up next month will be undead and next month's quest line of codes will let us know what will be coming the month after.

Nice catch. I didn't pay attention to that.

I saw it, and totally remember that, now. But I have a little "devil's advocate" worm in my ear.

Granted: 2 earth swappers, then an earth quest is a good argument for the next shrine being undead with the LNS/NS quest. But I don't think it goes back as far as you say.

We had a quest in May to link Rattle Shake (and someone else--I don't know who, because it was one I already had and it went fast). After that we got the Life Sanctum Quest. Right after that, there was the Scratch quest you mentioned. But Scratch was paired with Magna Charge.
And let's not forget there was another toy-link quest for Nitro Freeze Blade between the Scratch/Magna Charge and Earth swappers.

So it isn't as straightforward as all that.

But Builda-Grilla-Drilla as the well grand prize; then Buttered Pop-Thorn, and Sundae Slobbertooth seems a great indicator. Now there's even more reason to anticipate the next alter ego!

My theory for it being water or undead next is that they had gone through the three elements that were on the top three islands so I figured they'd move to the middle tier next. But koralred1 has a much stronger pattern to base a prediction on...

That's pretty good justification, too...
And I'm not discounting the pattern (...and the providers may just now be starting said pattern)
I just don't think Scratch was a very good indicator that it would be Air. And there was no indicator for Life.

as for my "guess" that magic might be next...when you start the game, they have you FIRST uncover the island to the south (Magic)

I would think fire or water just based on August being so hot. In my head, Undead should be October. I do see the point of the island patterns or the linking groups, but I thought Doim Stone and Rubble Rouser were earlier this month... Time is a blur though.

You're right. The Doom Stone/Rubble Rouser link quest was the 2nd week of July. They didn't even have Doom Stone in the game before (unless you linked), and I know it was after that. Plus someone sent me a Doom Stone code on July 12 to help me with the quest.

I think Fire is coming next

I think it will be Fire for some reason.

Maybe the alter ego could be Barbecued Hot Dog! (I know, a little obvious, but oh well!)

That is the next alter ego. He's already in the game, so the logical guess would be Fire is this month's element.
