Avatari needs anime to watch, so she's making herself a list, and she was hoping y'all could give her some recommendations? :3

Here's what I already have so far. Please don't bother saying anything negative about any of the shows because the list is pretty much final and I'm set on watching everything on it:

Angel Beats was short, but incredible. Would totally reccommend.

Currently going through Noein

If you like a series that blurs the lines between sci-fi and fantasy, has some awesome battle sequences, mood whiplash done right, something with a plot that requires a bit of thinking to keep up (but never becomes too hard), awesome OST, is educational regarding quantum and temporal physics, and is relatively clean (turns out preteens don't need to have illicit lives. Who knew?) compared to most anime of its quality, definitely pick this up.

Also going through Gundam Wing
The dub can be a bit hard to keep up with (as well as amusingly narmy at points), but otherwise, think a mecha show with a surprising amount of politics. Feels a bit like they ought to call it "Gundam: How Many Ways Can We Get People To Try To " at points though lol. Still, even for a somewhat older show, some good mecha battles and designs.

If you need a So-Bad-It's-Hilarious anime, Spider Riders should do the trick, and Marvel Disk Wars may as well due to the absurdity of kids capturing Marvel superheroes like Pokemon.

The World Is Still Beautiful is a good anime to watch ^.^
Black Bullet is quite amazing~
And Mekakucity Actors! ^.^

Fullmetal Alchemist is great, both the original and brotherhood. Though I slightly prefer brotherhood, so if you watch either of them, start with that one. I strongly recommend these ones.

death note and bakugan are also good anime to watch, I'd definitely recommend them as well.

I mean, in my eye Black Rock Shooter is a good anime but it was ranked I think 5 in the 2012 Worst Animes....I still recommend it though.
I would recommend Brynhildr In The Darkness, the story is pretty good but...yeah, it's a lot of fan servicing.
Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt is always a quality anime XD Although it implies sexual things and uh, towards the end there is I guess like, a sex scene although its not really....I don't know how to describe it.
WATAMOTE is pretty good too, funny but is mostly dark humor.

Bakugan kinda gets worse as it goes though. The first season was good, then the second wasn't bad. (Dan x Baron) Though the third was meh and the 4th was just.....

Kino's journey and Koi kaze are two good animes i recommend.

This is a far better way to release anger:

*Just to be clear Noein normally has a far cleaner animation style, but certain battles it becomes more unstable and rough and more manga-like for emphasis*

Alternately, if you're angry at someone:

Ones I can recommend are Cowboy Bebop, Space Dandy, Gurren Lagann, Evangelion, FLCL, Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood, and Kill la Kill. Just my personal favorites.

I'm not that big into anime, but I've watched some before. I'd recommend Baka to Test. I don't watch anime, but I it was funny to me. The characters and plot-lines are hilarious, but it has some heartfelt moments.
