A new fighter is going to be revealed on Monday. However, instead of being part of some Nintendo Direct or other larger event, they will be revealing this fighter with a 3-minute reveal trailer that will be streamed on the official site.

It specifically says "new fighter intro video", so yeah, it seems like it's a new character making their Smash debut in Smash 4.

For reference, Palutena's trailer has a time of 3:01. And Greninja and Rosalina's trailers come close to that.

It might be someone from the Gematsu leak. I'm guessing either Shulk or Ness because Shulk's voice actor is gonna be voice acting in some games and Ness because idk. This has a chance of not happening but I want either Ridley,Geno or Mewtwo to be playable. Geno is next to never now sadly.

Captain Falcon Punches in!!!!! But all of a sudden a medallion flies into the battle field from nowhere unleashing what appears to be a dinosaur of some sort, the thrower appears to be a kid of some sort.
FOSSIL FIGHTER DIGS IN!

Up special: Ptera (Ride a Ptera to get back to the stage, very strong recovery)
Side special: Medallion toss (Projectile weapon that gets stronger the more damage they have taken and summons a vivosaur to help for 10 seconds, only one vivosaur can be out and the side special becomes unusable until the current vivosaur is gone. It can be T-Rex, Spinas, or Triceratops. T-Rex focuses on attacking people with the highest damage, Spinax attacks nearby opponent's, and Triceratops protects the player)
Down B: Sonar (scans a circle around Fossil Fighter dealing damage and makes 2-3 items appear if items are on)
Regular B: Medallion stun (uses a medallion to stop an opponent directly in front of him)

The regular attacks will focus more on his revival tools

After some thought, I really wanna see Master Hand as a playable character. He's one of the only "original" concepts to come out of Smash Bros, and in a way he's sort of the flagship character of the series. They've already devised a moveset for him, because of all of his boss battles throughout the series, and I think it would be a nice self-referential nod to the Smash Bros series if they made him playable.

(Also, in regard to who would be a new boss, you would unlock Master Hand by beating him once, then a "dark" variation of your character that you get him with takes his place until a different character beats that dark character, and the cycle continues.

I think any character returning from a past game counts, there are 2 camps: Newcomers and Veterans, but if only N63 characters count as veterans, what are the Melee characters in Brawl labeled as?

Any returning character is considered a veteran. Just look at how the Brawl site is laid out:

The very definition of the word "veteran" is merely someone who has had past experience serving in a particular occupation. In the case of Smash characters, a veteran fighter is simply one who has been playable in a previous Smash game.

The main site has the video there with a countdown. It says new fighter intro, so most likely a newcomer, but who knows what could happen

Guys, read this. At one part Masahiro Sakurai says the games roster is almost full. Does this mean that Captain Falcon, Jigglypuff, Ness, and other veterans may not be in this game?

Doubt it, they didn't announce all the secret newcomers and veterans before Brawl, so why would they do it here?
