He probably was going to hold on to them to try and get a higher price down the road, but is trying now to dump them really quick before it becomes common knowledge they will be released at retail (hence the buy 12 of them at once auction). They were not terribly difficult to win if you were persistent, and some used multiple addresses to pick up more than the 4 per household. I'd bet he did this and is now scurrying to dump them ASAP.

But yeah, he might have lifted a box of them at his store (haven't heard of them being shipped to stores yet, as they would probably have shown up on shelves by mistake by now if they had). It's much easier for him to have just won them than walk out of a storage area/store with a case under his arm.

This guy probably sat in front of a computer for several days in a row trying to win the Frito Lay contest for various addresses. I understand some people won more than 4 by having them mailed to a friend or relative, but it seems this loser took it to the extreme...there's always a few who succeed in gaming the system in contests like these. According to his EBay history, QuickDraw is all he's sold this year. He realizes his little payday is coming to an end very soon when these will be available for $15, so he hopes to unload them on some unknowing shmuck.

Yeah, he has sold a bunch of them, which means he got them from the contest. You can thank people like him if you had trouble winning one last December. The contest "reset" every 15 minutes, according to the Rules - so he obviously spent lots of time filling out the form. The last gasp "lot of twelve" is probably all he has left - he is used to getting $50 a pop, hence his price but knows that window is closing fast. He appears to have been listing them one at a time to avoid driving down the price with a glut of them.

These sellers must know nothing about this game. If someone doesnt win a free figure from frito lay r they really going to pay $80 or just wait for his actual release? Id say 99% of people with a brain will wait and get him for 9.99 later on. Now to see idiots like this are grinding the contest taking others chances of winning

^Actually it's more likely that the average parent/child will see this chip bag contest and assume it's the only way to get him. You only really know about it coming out later if you read the fine print. Which is sad, but the reason these guys are going to make a huge buck off parents this year.
